We're happy to welcome the debut EP from @biota_official

BIOTA represents the symbiotic coexistence of flora & fauna, bridging ancient & modern, utilizing contrast to create colorful diversity. 
Their journey is exploration of sound and movement, driven by aesthetics of sound art, cinematic atmosphere, psychedelia and the gritty roots of blues and rock&roll.

In Sistema Organico, the Israelian duo Roman Galperin & Moses Chimen deliver a variety of sonic textures, from spacey feedback guitars through tasty analog synths, forest flutes, traditional percussion, shamanic vibes and more delights - all composed into musical moods to dive into.

The whole piece is inspired by the meditative depths of the natural world, a tribute to the forest, the jungle, the great rivers and thoughts about our relationship with them as human beings.

Roh Latif is the first single by Nayaim the artist  alter ego of Nehuén Schedan. With a mantric principle of soft melodies integrated into the sounds of water, fire, and drums Roh Latif is inspired by the nomadic pilgrimage, after a long journey a water clearing is imposed in front of them represented by a dramatic and beautiful stringed instrument. The hype rises sharply next to a frantic bass, this group of confident and serene beings dance knowing that they have arrived at the expected place where all can breathe happiness .

Born in northwestern Argentina with Hispanic and Syrian-Lebanese roots, Nayaim composes his music on different planes: inwardly the sensory, silence, self-perception, and kindness stand out. Outwards the sense of community, body language, empathy and dance. Because of his heterogeneous origin, Nayaim resorts to acoustic, synthesized, native and modern instruments paying particular attention to the atmosphere and the rhythmic ride, his music is timeless, deep, vibrant. Hajna & Mina Shankha - Muocalé (Intiche Remix)

A few months ago in September, the week before my son was born, my good friend Tony Tobias (official videographer of Momentom Collective) came to Tulum. We made the music video to accompany this song produced last year, it's my own take on the classic medicine song "Madre, te siento".

My intention in making a cover of this song (as well as the video) came from pain, frustration and some anger. Feelings that arise when I see what we are doing to our beautiful Mother Earth with pollution and endless unconscious expansion & construction.  Especially in Tulum where I have been based the last few years. I made this version of the song fast and dancy, more suitably played in environments in which the message of the lyrics might not reach.

The English lyrics are "Mother I feel you under my feet, Mother I feel your heartbeat,"
Spanish - "Madre te siento bajo mis pies, te siento al ladito de mi corazon." (Mother I feel you under my feet, I feel you in my heart."
Simple yet powerful.

I have always been passionate about protecting the environment, I worked in reforestation in Canada and have lived in several permaculture communities, and now with the birth of my son, bringing this new being into the world, I feel more passion than ever to raise awareness around this issue. I know that environmentalism is one of the main pillars of Envision festival and that is a huge part of why I am so excited to be a part of this festival this year and to be releasing this in partnership with them to raise money for their NGO "Somos El Cambio" which is responsible for several regenerative projects in Costa Rica

I believe that the state of our (humans) relationship with the earth is a reflection of the state of our relationship with ourselves. We have been going through a very long (thousands of years) learning period, in which we have forgotten where we come from and what our role is on this planet. Because of this, we have been destructive to ourselves, our bodies and minds, and to our environment, living in-harmoniously with natural order. 

Now we are in a beautiful moment. We are in a time of remembering, of connecting to our ancient ancestor's ways, of reconnecting to ourselves and the earth, of waking up and becoming more aware. However, there is still much to learn before we stop walking the harmful path that we are on as a species and begin to live fully in harmony.

This video is meant to be a reminder and a mirror, for those who watch to look and see what we are doing and know that this is a choice. That we have the choice, to continue on this path or to choose to create a new way of living that is regenerative and nourishing for all beings, including the conscious being that is this planet Earth in which we are living.

All profits made from sales of this song on my bandcamp page and streams from this video will be donated to Somos El Cambio to support them in their work and vision.

Fatoumata Diawara sings mostly in Bambara, a language spoken in Mali. 
"Nterini" translates to "my love/confidant" and depict a man traveling alone, presumably migrating, as his family back home anxiously go about their lives. It shows a snippet of an immigrant's journey without a sense of resolution.

This edit was meant to be spreading the love of her music and the message behind it. The intention was to translate the original version to slower, electronic driven dancefloors and hearts. Enjoy.
