I wrote this song several years ago. The whole process was painful. The inspiration came from many friends passing away and a fleeting sense of romance being replaced with cynicism. It was as forced and formulaic as heartfelt/broken. I recorded it on the roof of one of my least favorite places as an escape. Energy can neither be created nor destroyed. Life goes on. <3
