My name is Dino Tassigiannis and I enjoy to write poems and songs. I'm not musically gifted, so with the help of Adobe Audition, Audacity, commissioned vocals or instrumentals here and there, and AI, I bring my writings to life.

Spasmodular, a.k.a. Spasmodular Sounds from Steve's Shortwave, composes soundscapes featuring radio frequency sounds captured among the shortwave spectrum. In addition to experimenting with RF sounds, field recordings, and other electronics, Spasmodular also writes compositions for piano, and is currently performing/recording with the electronic duo VCO (Vincent Carlton Oscillator).

i sometimes write songs in Afrikaans, which is my first language. these songs are usually very personal and often based on my views of my faith and like prayers in a way.

in 2019 i was diagnosed with Autism. i realise now how much of my songwriting was a reflection of that, without me even knowing it. 
these are all old songs from the archives.

most of these songs were recorded on my phone and then edited in Audacity. also, they may seem a bit dark in mood, but they are mostly just  me overthinking about life and where i belong. being diagnosed with ASD really gave me a sense of myself again.

music is definitely therapy for me - writing songs as well as listening to music. music heals fractured souls.
