—• Vinyl enthusiast born and raised in Warsaw, Poland. Resident DJ at Miazmat and K-Bar in Warsaw, and organizer of the queer party SWITCH. Matrix draws inspiration from the roots of the European techno scene and the earliest dance sounds from the USA in the '90s. They primarily use vinyl and choose the grooviest, sexiest tracks to ignite the dance floor!

—• Matrix3K's career began in Tokyo at the start of 2020. Since then, they've performed at clubs such as Contact, Vent, Faust, ÆVE in Berlin, Jasna1, and Crackhouse, to name a few.

MAUER is a DJ, producer, and the visionary behind SENSOR Records, with a deep-rooted passion for techno, currently based between Warsaw and Berlin. Inspired by the German capital's vibrant club culture, his sets blend hypnotic rhythms with ethnic percussion, and he’s recently expanded into live performances.

Originally coming from a small town near Munich, Verhall got first introduced to techno in clubs like Blitz and Rote Sonne.
Meanwhile he is based in Vienna where he contributes to the local scene as a DJ but also as founder of Qualia Series, always pursuing the goal of sharing his distinctive musical vision and creating a unique connection with the crowd and the location. He also shares his taste through his own imprint RAUM Records, that he co-founded with his friend GEISTFREI. Musically you can expect a hypnotic, driving and loopy selection that will glue you to the dancefloor for hours on end.

HJ002-VA – “Friction”

The second release on Hypnotic Journeys brings together emerging Georgian producers and celebrated names from the global techno scene, weaving a story of tension, resistance, and transcendence.

Batumi-based newcomer Grenuy opens the compilation with a debut ambient piece that feels both intimate and expansive, a slow-burning meditation on space and emotion. His work is reimagined by Van Morph, a revered producer and founder of Khoros Records, who drives the track into deeper territory with an old-school, hypnotic groove.

NFNM (formerly Kapa), a young yet distinctive voice in the Tbilisi underground, delivers a piece of textural techno rich with movement and raw emotion. The journey concludes with a powerful remix by Tsott, founder of the forward-thinking Spira Records, whose deep and cerebral approach brings the compilation full circle.

“Friction” is a testament to Hypnotic Journeys’ ethos: uniting generations, sounds, and visions through hypnotic techno as a futurist statement.
