"Boof! Number seven in Numerology's young catalogue marks Eone's second EP for the label and only his sophomore release altogether! We were pretty damn impressed by the producer's debut and it's a pleasure to hear him back on top form with some more of his glitchy deep house. "Retribute" is an utterly deep, utterly seductive burner complete with some truly mesmerising atmospherics, whereas "Continue Comme Ca" speeds up the tempo and transforms into a sort of footworkian experimental number. The latter is reworked into a bass-heavy floor-filler by Mitch Wade Cole (watch out for that drop!), and the former by Leigh Morgan, who proceeds to enter an even more cavernous level of deepness thanks to those woozy vocals and chugging groove. Yesterday marked the release of WOLF Music’s fourth LP. Nicholas Church and Joseph Spencer, known in the electronic music sphere as Casino Times, have provided a hugely coherent and accomplished 10 track release and today we are fortunate enough to premiere “Overcome”.

“Overcome” is exactly the sort of track you’d expect to hear emanating from the Innervisions/Permanent Vacation HQs. This is no mean feat given the German-based labels have had such a profound effect on the house and techno landscape of the last 6 years. The combination of the 303 bassline and the relaxed, contemplative synth stabs instil a sense of calm into proceedings before the listener is plunged into what would be a fittingly chaotic soundtrack to a challenging drive around Leeds’ one way system.

First Play: Casino Times - Overcome [WOLF Music]

Two cult entities rejoin for today's offering. Renowned minimalist wizard, Gigi Masin, and downtempo savants, Tempelhof, are elegant music-makers in their own right. But come June 10th, they cross swords for a joint outing entitled Tsuki — arriving via Cascine in North America and Hell Yeah Records elsewhere.

The former is a living sample bank for artists as far-flung as Bjork, Main Attraktionz and Nujabes, as well as playing a crucial role in Italy's avant-garde thrust. Despite only releasing a handful of releases — one solo album (Frozen Dancers), a 12” single (Piano Piano) and another joint LP with Masin (Hoshi) — Tempelhof (Luciano Ermondi and Paolo Mazzacani) weigh in with considerable gravitas among those in the know. Together, they're the perfect embodiment of career cryogenics — creatives whose artistry has received a rightful second lease of life via well-placed reissues.

Tsuki is a lesson in tasteful ambience, melding episodes of weightless wonderings with forays into percussive, softly-softly electronica. The project is pinned by the hip to each artists' respective homelands of Venice and Mantua, making for a well-travelled and emotional jaunt into minimalism. 

"Corner Song" is just that; almost otherworldly in nature, but atmospheric and deeply stirring. The perfect introduction to a project that's bound to cause souls to salivate.

Following on from 2015's ‘Island Life’ EP, ‘Counter Real’ further explores the ground between experimental electronic music and modern classical. With a rich orchestration of piano, strings, synths, vocals (from Eva Bowan) and brass, alongside intricate percussive movements, he has created an album of melodic ambience, depth and drama.

Mount Bank is the solo project of Brighton’s Samuel Organ, focusing on his passion for experimental electronic music and modern classical. With only two EPs to his name he has quickly picked up support on BBC radio from Gilles Peterson and Mary Anne Hobbs, as well as The Fader & Red Bull Music Academy. Outside of this solo project he is a member of the Physics House Band, playing shows across Europe with acts like Jaga Jazzist, Deerhoof and Alt J. As a classically trained percussionist he has performed in orchestras and jazz ensembles, as a DJ he has supported Bonobo, Machinedrum, Slugabed and Flume. He also has a degree in Professional Musicianship, achieved before his 18th birthday.
