Rapper and Podcast Host Martin Kekana, aka Numi, hails from Johannesburg in South Africa. Born into a musical family, music and entertainment are hard wired into his DNA, the greatest influence being his uncle, the legendary Jazz Singer, Steve Kekana.
Being raised by a Christian family left an indelible mark on his character where humility and an appreciation of the small things in life were ruling themes. 
Numi and his creations are finely intertwined with a golden thread of consciousness; righteousness; awareness; humility; love; life and biblical messages.
Numi is also deeply inspired by the struggle stories of Nelson Mandela, Steve Biko, Chris Hani, Ghandi, Martin Luther King, Malcolm X and Che Guevara. He is a storyteller living their vision and part of the rainbow nation. His stories are not one sided, Numi writes for a multiracial audience and now co hosts a podcast called The 411 where they create awareness around these stories by interviewing celebrities; activists; politicians; actors and creatives nationwide.
Musically, Numi is inspired by some of the greatest pioneers of Hip Hop like Nas; 2pac; Biggie; Eminem; Kanye West and Jay Z.
Previously, he used to host “The Catch Up” on Caxton Radio, where they also interviewed celebrities; activists; politicians; actors and creatives.
Numi wrote "Graduated from Blessers" in 2018.
