This is the second track that was recorded by the group.  This song was developed organically during a single recording session.  The bass carries listeners through several melodies while multiple layers of percussion provide driving expression.

Amity

This track originally began as an effort to mask an odd meter riff by playing something more legato.  Although a drum kit was attempted initially, the hand drums felt more natural.  Multiple layers of hand percussion accentuate the bass melodies.

Cloud 10

This is the first track the group recorded.  It begins with about a minute of didgeridoo, which according to the Australian Aborigine myth, is the very sound of creation.  Since our experience of creation is cyclical, the recording features a bass ostinato that is layered with a talking drum and synth pads.  The occasional water sounds were produced by a small room fountain.

Raining Grace

This is among some of the first material that was developed by the group using a full drum kit.  The title is a reflection of the two instruments (elements) colliding together: a fiery drummer meets an earthy bassist.

Two Elements Collide

Recorded live at Princeton, NJ, the title Jokalaylau takes its inspiration from the Clive Barker novel Imajica.  The melodic introduction was originally written for acoustic guitar, but transposed to the six-string bass for the purposes of this concert.

Recorded live at Princeton, NJ, this track is the product of months of creative arranging.  It is one of the most involved pieces of music the group has produced.  The goal of the song was to produce a slideshow story that unfolded during the performance.  While it may not have reached its full visual potential, the complexity of the song showcases the musicianship of the artists.

The Chase (live)

The title of this track was inspired by the gong featured so prominently during the middle of the song.

Circle of Mystery (live)

Perhaps one of the more exciting tracks in the Numinosity repertoire.  There was talk about producing this track with electronic drums to give it a more electronic feel.

Ocean of Sound

Aptly named "Elements, part 2" in the studio, this track follows in the footsteps of the previous bass and drums tradition of the group.
