With most DJ’s barely getting their teeth in to 2014 yet, Rotterdam based composer and producer Eelke Kleijn is already back teasing more huge tracks. Set for release on Feb. 24 on Eskimo Recordings are two brand new originals. ‘Lovely Sweet Divine’ is a slice of space disco heaven. This otherworldly tune is drenched in expansive reverb, disco rhythms and infectious arpeggiated basslines.

Typically brooding with an uplifting inflection, 'A Tale Of Two Lovers' is Eelke at the top of his game – only what we have come to expect from recent months. Combining fluid violins, hang drums and his typical bass rumble it’s a track from someone so adept at production they have the confidence and freedom to play around with styles in the 7-minute runtime.

In his very own club mix of 'Time Again' Jan Blomqvist does not just extend the intro and add a bigger kick, he dives deeper and lets the track breath with more focused breakdowns and a whole lot of measured restraint. He holds back the reigns on the guitar until just the right moment and even then gives just enough to keep the ear wanting more. Adding a catchy rhodes riff and re-cutting the vocals he masterfully recreates and recasts his song as a proper party-starting dancefloor bomb.

Jan Blomqvist - Time Again (Jan Blomqvist Club Version)

Born in 1974 in São Paulo Brazil, Gui Boratto, architect, musician, composer and producer initiated his career in the advertising sector in 1993. From 1994 until 2004 he performed various works for countless record labels both national and international, such as EMI, Virgin, Irma, BMG, Edel, Vidisco, ZYX, among others.

Gui Boratto is A&R and one of the owners, with his partner and brother Tchorta, of the Brazilian independent label, Megamusic, distributed by Trama. 
From 2005 he began to dedicate himself to his own productions and compositions, displaying to the public an authoral and more personalized side to his abilities. With countless licenses with respected European labels, such as Plastic City, Circle, Kompakt, Audiomatique, among others, Gui Boratto has managed to appear in the chart and playlists of people like Michael Mayer, Tiefschwarz, Steve Bug, Phonique, Martin Landsky, Hernan Cattaneo, among others. 

With respect for his talent growing in the world scene, Gui Boratto is a name to look out for on the Brazilian house, techno and minimal scene.¹

We are glad to have won Iorie over for our 6th release, a young and talented man from Hannover. “And The Gang EP“ is his contribution to this event. But don't let yourself be deceived by this title: his music is certainly not drifting into rap-related genres. Instead, the young man presents us three varied originals which wonderfully fit a modern deep house context. And to top the total package off we have the mighty Siopis on remix duty! 

“And The Gang“ is not just the title of the EP, but also track A1 – and even if it starts quite calm and straight, you soon realise that this track is ideal for the dancefloor with its perfect groove. Up next is “A Little Affair“, a track with which Iorie underlines the multifacetedness of his productions. It is borne by a dreamy and slightly dark atmo and builds a special kind of tension which is released in the break with a wonderful vocal to begin. The flip side revolves around “My Mate M“: Although Iorie doesn't want to reveal to us who this is alluding to, we are sure that it must be a really good friend considering what a great song he dedicated to him. But don't worry: if you're thinking of a cheesy love song, you're barking up the wrong tree. This track very much relates to what Iorie has presented us on the A-side and the facets that he displayed there are fused into one epic masterpiece. All in all a tough basis for Siopis to remix you might think, but the berlin-based Greek proves to be one of the best producers of the German capital and does a heck of a job putting his “From The Ashes“ mark on the theme.

Hailing from Berlin, Modul Kollektiv has had a prosperous career producing under numerous synonyms within various genres, however with the arrival of his new moniker the budding artist is set to cement himself as one of the hottest bourgeoning producers within the realm of deep house. Late 2014 saw the elusive German producer’s debut release ‘Farbenfroh’ on Dirty Soul, a track name which translates to ‘colour’ and was suitably picked up by Holi Festival to be used as the promo track for their paint fuelled festival. Now with his colossal ‘Control’ release coming out on March 3rd on Kittball it unquestionable 2015 will be his most fruitful year to date.
Title track ‘Control’ takes no prisoners by delivering a sullen synth before a heartfelt vocal and fluttering atmospherics enrich the track with an elevating sensation that ought to fuel dancefloors throughout the year. The producer also includes a pair of rave edits that provide an upsurge in velocity better suited for the underground revellers, both with and without vocals.
First on the remix front is Kruse & Nuernberg, a German duo that have previously released on the likes of OFF Recordings and Exploited. Their take on ‘Control’ dives into subterranean depths, with chilling throbs and sultry pads generating more of a mesmerising trip. Kittball in-house producer and family member P.A.C.O. , then delivers the final rendition, a modern day deep house bomb given a techy twist.

MODUL KOLLEKTIV - CONTROL (Kruse Nuernberg RMX)

Nuno dos Santos’ boutique label SoHaSo (shorthand for Something Happening Somewhere; although, sadly the same can no longer be said of Trouw) has been cruising steadily for the best part of two years now, but "Tonii" might just be the best thing committed to wax yet. Love Over Entropy's 12m original is sturdy with bright flourishes throughout, forever climbing and searching without resolve; techy without, y'know, being techy. 

This retouch comes from none other than Innervisions' main man, although  less overtly lovelorn than we've come to expect. He  twists the lead melody into something resembling a steel pan drum, backed by laser-guided synths pinging all around: a festival-sized breakdown held just at the precipice, never fully cresting. Dixon, you big tease.
