There are so many reasons why relationships don’t work. Whatever thing the cause is, its duration is a dark time. The dark times of unfaithfulness, deceit, disloyalty or even disrespect. Libilibi narrates a kind of dark time.
The colors on the couple are reflective in more ways than one. The male has half of his face reflective (glowing even in the dark time). The glow marks half of the face signifying memories of good times and the other half of his face is almost completely dark. In a sense, the glow is his light even in the dark time. The dark part of his face bears the glow of her lips previously planted on his cheek but….
The female has her eyes closed. She refuses to look at him even though she faces him. There is light around her eyes but it is of no use; the window to her soul is shut.
