Esto es de lo más nuevo que he mezclado. A Maf la conocí por medio de mi amigo cubano Jonathan Bermudes quien la había grabado en Antigua y me recomendó para este trabajo. La verdad me gustó mucho lo que escuché y le pedí a Maf que me dejara hacerle una prueba para ver que pensaba de mi trabajo. Al final le gusto y a mi me dio mucho gusto poder trabajar con ella no solo por su talento si no tambien porque es un gran ser humano, transparente. 2011

The other day I was reading comments on my YouTube videos, reviews on Bandcamp and like forum posts etc and I realized once again how lucky I am to be able to share my music with so many people that actually care about it

Elusive dutch DJ and producer, nthng, announces his second album ‘Hypnotherapy’ on Lobster Theremin. Previously putting out records on his own label Transatlantic, plus the likes of Delsin, Lobster Theremin and Mörk, this thoughtful long play spans dub techno, hazy ambient and mind-bending trance, traversing through different moods.

Float away with bright and airy opener, ‘50 Flower’. Spoken word samples intercept the ambience, bringing the listener down from the clouds. A2’s ‘I Just Am’ takes the EP into dub techno dancefloor territory with bolshy, rattling percussion and assertive vocals. ‘Heitt’ is a pacy slice of machine music for the wee hours, before drifting back to softness with barely-there ‘Beautiful Love’. ‘Wave Return’ injects a dose of wigged out energy, slowly evolving from drawn out dub into an effervescent jam. ‘Spirit of Ecstasy’ rolls gently - a prime slice of chunky, driving electronica. nthng’s title track, ‘Hypnotherapy’, see’s the producer return to the ambient fringes of moody techno, barely-there kicks, and shimmering pads. Rounding out the album, weightless ‘With You’ is a romantic post club track, soft, longing vocals sit upon almost bird-like sounds. Digi only bonus, ‘And Then There Was Light’ is nthng’s most ethereal offering yet.

We’re usually pretty overwhelmed by music submissions to our INBOX - some are great and some suck and to be honest we’re often just too snowed under to get around most of them. To you we say: “Patience, pilgrims. The judgemental eye will one day be cast over you ALL eventually.” That said, we’re pretty glad we heard the music you are hearing now, because it’s some high quality electronic tuneage and really goes down well with your quaratini’s and bed hair. And maybe might help block out the ubiquitous diplo live streams and general anxiety in the air. What more can we say about “420”? Well, we wanted to release this on the 20th of April, but that would've been a bit obvious, no? So we waited til the smoke cleared and we could introduce these squirrely demons safely into your isolation dens. Let the nuggets of sweet audio creep inside your warm un-made beds. Peek under your foggy binge watching eyelids. Who made these sounds? RØKR did. He’s an artist from Brazil, who released an album in 2017 of completely spacey psych electronic shoegaze tracks, complete with track titles like “You Made Me Legalize”. We didn’t know that last bit until much later, but it makes total sense in retrospect. I was going to write more here, but just got a message from a friend saying “I've just lost two hours to my neighbor whose dog ate marijuana and had to go to the dog hospital. She’s 87”. In the spirit of 420, I got nothing that could top that.
