[A] Mustard Cuts - I'm Not Here:
Opening Elevation 2 EP is a new artist to the label, UK based Mustard Cuts, with his track I'm Not Here. Deviating from his usual style I'm Not Here finds its origins from a casual session involving a Fender Strat, with the end result being the evocative chords and riff in the intro, that help give this track its warm and emotive feel. Later accompanied by a big powerful and overdriven, 80's style bass synth and  mesmerizing female vocals, after the drop. A Catchy vocal dancefloor banger with all the euphoric qualities of a classic festival anthem.

[B] T-Trider - Alive:
Nu Venture Records regular and resident high energy Drum & Bass producer T-Trider returns for a second outing on the Elevation EP series. Starting with an arpeggiated melody alongside enticing but sinister sounding pads as the track progresses into an energetic DnB tune. A captivating and pulsating bassline give this one its distinguished feel, combined with a punchy beat and synthesised sampled vocals to emphasise the dancefloor nature of this track.

[C] KNGHT - Don't Wanna:
Following an appearance on the original Elevation EP, KNGHT returns for the 2nd installment with his track Don't Wanna. Conceived during the height of the 2020 pandemic and with an overwhelming desire to rave it's no surprise the resulting production transpired as a high tempo Dancefloor Drum & Bass track. Setting the tone by opening with smooth synths, as part of a melodic and enticing intro, before the barrage of suspense in the build up to the drop. Followed by an intense overload of energy provided by a solid driving bassline, pumping drums and a catchy melody.

[D] Kaizah - Scrubbin':
With a different approach to his regular style, new label artist Kaizah applies a heavier bass driven sound to bring you his maiden Dancefloor Drum & Bass floor filler, Scrubbin'. Taking centre stage are a combination of bouncy and melodic leads and a classic 80's style rhythmic bass, as Kaizah creates a track that pays homage to the energetic and synth dominated sounds that are indicative of the UK Dancefloor scene. Vinyl samples, that provided inspiration for the track's name, are the final element that binds the track together and completes Elevation 2 EP.

[A] Ellementhz - Smokin':
Ellementhz presents his first individual artist release on Nu Venture Records with Smokin' being his debut NVR EP. Returning to impose some additional Brazilian flair to the label Ellementhz opens the EP with the title track Smokin'. Dry beats and straight harmonics combine with an underground breakbeat influence and supernatural ambience to create this Drum & Bass roller.

[B] Ellementhz - Moon The Moon:
Moon the Moon owes its existence to an inspirationally clear night with a glistening full moon. Representing the effects of a shimmering moon dancing across the dark and expansive night sky, this Drum & Bass track features; lashings of forceful sub bass, mysterious pads and a distinctive and vibrant rolling groove throughout.

[C] Ellementhz - Panic Room:
The final track of the release is Panic Room, which the creation of, was influenced by the soundtrack to a panic based tv series. Replicating the organ from the series theme music Ellementhz uses this to produce the main loop for the track and set the atmospheric feel. Sharp drums and contrasting subtle hi hats work alongside disturbing vocal whispers and haunting screams, to achieve the effect of fear and panic, whilst closing out this dynamic EP from the South American producer.

[A] Nichenka Zoryana - Alibi:
Opening the EP is the release title track Alibi. A deep, soulful and thought provoking creation, designed to capture the sentiments of life within the sounds of a Drum & Bass track. Alibi contains an overriding portrayal of the sadness and sorrow witnessed throughout everyone's individual journey. All of which is harmonised by idyllic soothing tones, delicate crash cymbals and deep rumbling bass, to evoke the spirit of hope and to advocate that not everything is as impossible as it can seem in reality.

[B] Nichenka Zoryana - Ulmo Kvante:
Ulmo Kvante is a production that conveys a strong underlying message of belief and aspiration that surmounts the sombre undertone present throughout. The Deep nature of this Liquid Drum & Bass track, combines tantalising vocal additions with graceful piano, to create a distinctly nostalgic feel but reminds us to never be afraid to look forward to see what the future may hold.

[C] Nichenka Zoryana - Jazzmatic:
Jazzmatic is a track that radiates feel good vibes with a prevailing pleasant aura provided by jazzy piano and playful woodwind notes. Bathed in a warm glow that encapsulates the essence of  the arrival of Spring, whilst expansive bass and dual purpose strings are used to great effect to both simultaneously relax and stimulate your mind.

[D] Nichenka Zoryana - Zaglavniy Money:
Completing the EP is Zaglavniy Money, a deep Drum & Bass track with optimism embodied into the heart and soul of this composition. Atmospheric in its approach, this diverse track features elevating strings, plus soft and gentle vocals to produce a warm and comforting feel with an element of mysteriousness, alongside a fast paced drum with an intertwined bass line, to create a sound synonymous with Nichenka's style.

He returns with his impressive original, 2 track Liquid Drum and Bass release, entitled Oh You / Miss You. Composed in close conjunction with one another both these tracks share Rafau's individual inventive style, although they both introduce their own unique contrasting qualities, with the melodic dance floor tones of Oh You and the euphoric uplifting vibes of Miss You, all blending together to complete this outstanding release.

► [A] Rafau Etamski - Oh You:
Oh You is a Liquid Drum & Bass track produced with the intention of inducing feel good emotions. Through the addition of Rafau's preferred instrument of choice, the piano, he accomplishes a sense of tranquillity from the intro to the drop with the use of smooth piano keys and an alluring female vocal sample. The second drop however features contrasting high tempo, rave inspiring piano chords, a guaranteed way to increase the energy and get any dance floor moving!

► [B] Rafau Etamski - Miss You:
Miss You is a energetic and uplifting, Liquid Drum & Bass track, evoking strong feelings of happiness and nostalgia. Rafau achieves this through his use of euphoric pads, a distinctive recurring female vocal sample and his trademark atmospheric piano keys. Released at the beginning of July Miss You is sure to bring warmth to any summer party.

► Rafau Etamski Biography:
Rafau Etamski is an accomplished 30 year old musician and producer from Bydgoszcz, Poland. He started his musical journey 10 years ago producing hip hop instrumentals. Gradually through increasing the tempo of this genre, he became to familiarise himself with Drum & Bass too the point where 175bpm has taken over. Creating a great passion for DnB and all its sub-genres, from the darker sounds of neuro to his preferred sound of choice, liquid. With influences coming from his love of hip hop, jazz and funk, he tries to incorporate these elements and the inclusion of all live instruments, into his productions today.

[A] Redemptive - Lucid Voyage:
The EP opener & title track Lucid Voyage, represents the overall theme of the release, whilst commencing an exploration of musical discovery. Exquisite precision with a vast array of detail combine to create the upbeat, yet euphoric & uplifting sound. This track has an energetic & addictively bouncy flow that distinguishes Redemptive's spirited characteristic style. Featuring spanning vocal cuts throughout, & an alluring middle vocal, to transition further into this magical track & announcing the your arrival at the beginning of this voyage.

[B] Redemptive - Mushroom Jive:
Mushroom Jive is a full vocal track designed to help you get your bounce on deep in the swamp lands within the Mushroom kingdom. Catchy high tempo Drum & Bass featuring the bright & distinctive vocals of Holly Prothman's voice. NVR051 sees Nu Venture Records welcome the return of talented Polish Drum & Bass producer Rafau Etamski, for his 4th individual release on the label, with his latest instalment the 3 track Jealousy EP. 

[A] Rafau Etamski - Amina:
Opening the EP is Amina a rolling Drum & Bass track with a contrasting darker approach than Rafau's usual characteristic producing style. Dominated by a deep expansive bass line and a selection of perfectly suited atmospheric pads, accompanied by prominent amen drums all combined with complimentary uplifting and distant vocals, to conclude this inventive atmospheric roller.

[B] Rafau Etamski - Jealousy:
Jealousy is a Liquid track which resumes his trademark style, following on from the success of Rafau's previous NVR vocal releases; Say You Need Me, Push For Love and Do That To Me. Based on a deep bass line and rolling percussion, with a trance inspired gated pad and the addition of Kate Wild's addictive vocals, to further enhance the uplifting feel and progressive dancefloor nature of this accomplished vocal masterpiece.

[C] Rafau Etamski - Even If We Try:
The final production of the release is the energetic Drum & Bass track Even If We Try. Inspired by classic Liquid sounds of a bygone era and with a bass line modeled on Netsky's style. Also featuring strong animated drums, dulcet and harmonious piano notes, all expertly composed alongside fresh and soothing vocals to complete this dancefloor track and diverse EP.

[A] Rinse - Wonder:
Opening the EP is Wonder from a Nu Venture new comer and Australian producer Rinse. A deep Liquid Drum & Bass track, influenced by an appreciation for real tangible instruments, which is evident through Rinse's consistent use of evocative piano notes and intensifying strings. Defined by its deep expansive bass line and perfected by the addition of distressed soul vocals and cinematic pads.


[B] Blastikz - Afraid To Let Go (Olski Remix):
Olski steps up to remix duties on NVR041 classic, Afraid To Let Go, from fellow Swedish producer Blastikz. A stripped back deep and downtempo remake, but maintaining the sentiment of the original with the soft vocals and delicate piano notes, plus the new addition of a warm and dominant bassline.


[C] Geety - In Love Before:
The final track of the EP sees another new artist joining the Nu Venture roster with UK based producer Geety and his track In Love Before. A smooth and deep Liquid Drum and Bass track, with a silkily serene intro before revealing a variety of loops and programmed beats, haunting soulful vocals and that deep immersive bassline. All combined with a Rhodes piano riff & brass sample to evoke those jazz inspired emotions.

[A] MYKOOL - Feel Alive:
Feel Alive opens the release beginning with a dreamy intro, laden with alluring atmospheric pads, to set the tone for this uplifting dancefloor Drum & Bass track. With the original chord progression a longstanding work in progress, the emotional and catchy male vocals combined with a subtle heartbeat sample, further enhance the desired sound and really help bring the track itself alive to create an audible state of ecstasy. The intensity increases as the track exudes feel good euphoric vibes before the epic festival inspired drop. A high tempo, energy driven DnB track, sure to be owning the dancefloors and festivals near you this summer. 

[B] MYKOOL - Makes Me Wonder:
Opening with lush female vocals that resonate throughout the intro, alongside subtle filtered pads and heavily reverbed percussion, to create real depth and give the track it's unique characteristic flow that's bursting with energy. As the vocals become the main focus of the verse they are accompanied by addictive House inspired piano chords, familiar with present day dance music, which are continued through into the unexpected euphoria of the first drop. Followed by a complete polar opposite switch up, catching the listener off guard with an intense bass heavy reese drop, turning the track from a feel good vocal bopper before progressing into, full on in your face, upfront dancefloor Drum & Bass.

[A] MYKOOL - Billet doux:
Nu Venture regular MKOOL returns for his 4th Release on the label with his latest double installment of Liquid Drum & Bass. Opening the release is Billet doux a soft vocal track created with a warm and airy feel throughout, whilst featuring intricate rhodes chords in collaboration with dynamic plucks from the upright bass, to give this tune it's jazzy foundations on which the smooth vocals are layered upon. The track reaches it's ultimate crescendo by building up to the second chorus which removes the rhodes chords and introduces soothing string sections for a tranquil orchestral approach.

[B] MYKOOL - Blackwater :
Blackwater was made with moody intentions and a darker vibe in mind, using rhodes chords designed to incite a chilled and mellow flavour, to perfectly compliment the contrasting deep bassline with it's raw powerful reese sound. From the second drop the track progresses, as the amen break is introduced and layered in the background, to increase the energy of the industrious drums and add a more old school feeling to the track.

[A] Perplex - Let Me Tell Ya:	
Nu Venture Records kick off 2021 with returning artist Perplex and his second EP on the label. Let Me Tell Ya opens the EP and showcases Perplex’s love for in your face Dancefloor Drum & Bass which becomes evident from the moment the beat begins. From the onset teasing vocal hooks work together with Trance inspired arpeggiators, to give the intro its momentum, before paving the way for the lead vocal which sets the tone for this track. As the vocal builds into the drop the arps are reintroduced before the arrival of a highly energetic and bouncy bass riff alongside tight crispy drums.

[B] Perplex - Staring Down The Barrel:
The title track of the EP Staring Down the Barrel, begins with a pitch bent synth within the intro, before intensifying to become the main focus and reveal the menacing intentions of this track. As the once prominent synth withdraws into the background, the lead vocal line then takes command for the build up to the drop. The spoken vocal adds suspense to the occasion as the build up progresses, before emerging as a dark rolling banger with a floor shaking bassline, coupled with aggressive punchy drums.

[C] Perplex - Fears Of The Night:
Perplex presents another signature bass heavy stomper by the name of Fears Of The Night. Commencing with a mischievous drum and mesmerising arp combination, with the addition of dark baselines and the introduction of a lead synth, that dominates early proceedings. The track progresses with the use of lashings of side-chained risers and white noise, before culminating into a drop that is destined to destroy dance floors with its lethal bass riff, hard hitting drums and the eventual re-emergence of  the catchy lead synth.

[D] Perplex - Beast Of Space:
Perplex closes out the EP with Beast Of Space, the final track continuing in a similar dark theme, as the intro begins with a catchy guitar riff coupled with techy stabs and enticing risers. The lead bassline is then gradually revealed whilst the heavy drums build momentum and are slowly faded out, before Beast Of Space drops into a tearing bass, crafted with big wobbles and teasing stabs to complete this dynamic Upfront Drum & Bass EP.
