[A] Mustard Cuts - I'm Not Here:
Opening Elevation 2 EP is a new artist to the label, UK based Mustard Cuts, with his track I'm Not Here. Deviating from his usual style I'm Not Here finds its origins from a casual session involving a Fender Strat, with the end result being the evocative chords and riff in the intro, that help give this track its warm and emotive feel. Later accompanied by a big powerful and overdriven, 80's style bass synth and  mesmerizing female vocals, after the drop. A Catchy vocal dancefloor banger with all the euphoric qualities of a classic festival anthem.

[B] T-Trider - Alive:
Nu Venture Records regular and resident high energy Drum & Bass producer T-Trider returns for a second outing on the Elevation EP series. Starting with an arpeggiated melody alongside enticing but sinister sounding pads as the track progresses into an energetic DnB tune. A captivating and pulsating bassline give this one its distinguished feel, combined with a punchy beat and synthesised sampled vocals to emphasise the dancefloor nature of this track.

[C] KNGHT - Don't Wanna:
Following an appearance on the original Elevation EP, KNGHT returns for the 2nd installment with his track Don't Wanna. Conceived during the height of the 2020 pandemic and with an overwhelming desire to rave it's no surprise the resulting production transpired as a high tempo Dancefloor Drum & Bass track. Setting the tone by opening with smooth synths, as part of a melodic and enticing intro, before the barrage of suspense in the build up to the drop. Followed by an intense overload of energy provided by a solid driving bassline, pumping drums and a catchy melody.

[D] Kaizah - Scrubbin':
With a different approach to his regular style, new label artist Kaizah applies a heavier bass driven sound to bring you his maiden Dancefloor Drum & Bass floor filler, Scrubbin'. Taking centre stage are a combination of bouncy and melodic leads and a classic 80's style rhythmic bass, as Kaizah creates a track that pays homage to the energetic and synth dominated sounds that are indicative of the UK Dancefloor scene. Vinyl samples, that provided inspiration for the track's name, are the final element that binds the track together and completes Elevation 2 EP.

[A] DRTWHT - Jacket:
To open the 3rd installment of the Intrusion EP series, is returning Hungarian Producer and DJ, DRTWHT with his track Jacket. Another neurofunk ripper definitive of the artists style, Jacket is influenced by melody driven dancefloor tracks, but still in keeping with the neuro philosophy of heavy tearing basslines, plus a dark and in this case eerie atmosphere. Accompanied by rolling drums and hi hat patterns, with pads reminiscent of the sound of a jacket zipper, to give this track its unique name and origins.


[B] Alternate Perspective - Game Over:
Label newcomer and UK based producer Alternate Perspective contributes his Upfront Drum & Bass track Game Over to Intrusion 3 EP. From the onset Game Over starts out atmospheric and rhythmic in style, with choir like vocal samples and subtle Reese bass and stabs, which sets the Neuro inspired tone for the remainder of the track.  As the drums and synths build, a formidable vocal sample that later becomes the title of the track, can be heard before the drop with industrious drums against the backdrop of a sinister and stomping bassline. Then evolving with the addition of lead synths, arpeggios, percussion and subtle rhythmic changes which keep a sense of tension and intrigue throughout.


[C] DarKYYComet - Scarlett:
Making his NVR debut is French Producer DarKYYComet to present his track Scarlett, a halftime Drum & Bass track, heavily inspired by genres such as Hip-Hop and Trap. Starting off with an illusive intro beginning with a peaceful and tranquil flute melody to disguise what lays in waiting. Before long the melody succumbs whilst the intensity increases as a teaser for what is to come. A big bassline then dominates the drop alongside epic brass, vocal chops and a original drum pattern. 


[D] Matthew Allen - New Days:
New Days is the final track of the EP and sees New Zealand producer Matthew Allen welcomed to Nu Venture Records. Pushing the boundaries between melodic and heavy Drum & Bass by fusing the two sub genres together with soulful and airy vocals, complimented with soft and delicate piano, to open the intro. Contrasted by the menacing horns of the build up and the punchy drums and powerful synths of the drop to provide the energetic and driving nature of this track.

[A] Ellementhz - So Good:
Ellementhz returns from his double appearance on the previous Eclipse EP release, to open the latest and 4th installment of the series, with his track So Good. A dark production that takes on a minimalistic approach with deep and pulsating sub bass, plus a variety of assorted percussion elements, to set the tone for the rolling nature of this Ellementhz creation. An additional contrasting vocal sample then works in unison with electrifying and eerie pads to give this technical track a truly dank and sinister aura.

[B] MidKnighT MooN - Momentum:
Nu Venture Records welcome back MidKnighT MooN, for what turns out to be a busy year for the producer releasing on the label, following his Music Got Me EP earlier in the year. For his contribution to the Eclipse EP 4, MidKnighT MooN presents something altogether vastly different to his previous EP, with his latest production Momentum. Inspired by old school Drum & Bass sounds reminiscent of a nostalgic Metalheadz releases, which all becomes evident from the use of dirty rolling bass, aligned with sharp Techstep drums and 303 lasers to give the illusion of a track from years gone by. 

[C] Shotik - On The Floor:
Shotik gets his third consecutive outing on the Eclipse EP series, which sees On The Floor as the first of two solo productions. The intro begins with haunting soundscapes and chilling pads to lay the foundations and pave the way for the introduction of the forceful kick. From the drop punchy drums give On The Floor its momentum alongside ripping synth work to complete this track which is aimed strictly at the dark and heavy loving heads out there.

[D] Ellementhz - Future:
For the second Ellementhz appearance on the EP, the Brazilian producer once again keeps things at the darker end of the spectrum, but this time with an overriding influence from Atmospheric Drum & Bass. Despite the fast nature of the industrious drums and hi-hat combination, Ellementhz manages to create a distinct minimal feel for Future, with short vocal enhancers and an expansive bass line combined with tension producing mystical pads.

[E] Shotik - Rain:
Completing the release is the second of Shotik's productions Rain, in which takes on a deeper feel with an added touch of Funk, created using Emotional and soulful Vocals together with varied combo pads. Normal EP service is then resumed with the introduction of an all commanding driving bassline and heavy sub bass that dominate from the drop, combined with a raucous horn like synth.

MidKnighT MooN returns for his 3rd separate NVR release of 2021 to date, with his latest production Ecstasy. As the name alludes to, this is a feel good care free track, reminiscent of his Music Got Me EP from earlier in the year. Continuing in his trademark Liquid style, MidKnighT MooN creates a track designed to make people feel the ecstasy through their skin, mimicking the experience of taking a drug for the first time. With delicate but enticing piano notes, dreamy pads, deep & warming bass alongside intelligently arranged vocal enhancements.

[C] Shotik - Freedom:
Shotik is no stranger to NVR with a number of previous collaborations with fellow Brazilian producer J Brown. This time taking on a solo production, Shotik's track Freedom is somewhat smoother in style than his previous releases on the label, as he provides some Brazilian Liquid Drum & Bass flavours for his debut appearance on the Nu Dawn series. Opening with soothing strings & nostalgic drums followed by a soulful vocal just before the drop. The main chopped string loop is then introduced, along with additional harmonic pads & impact creating rolling bass variations, to give this track its summer like feel good vibes.

[D] Vosko Ft. Raluca Stan - It Is Cosmic:
Italian producer Vosko joins the Nu Venture Records artist roster with his track It Is Cosmic. A vocal collaboration with Singer/Song Writer Raluca Stan, composed with the intention of embracing every moment in the here & now, whilst allowing nature to take its course. A fitting collaborative project with the beautiful voice of Raluca Stan, impressively able to convey the concept of the track in order to emphasise its abstract and transcendental credentials, in contrast to the deep driving bass line present throughout.

[E] Allumino - Melancholy:
Ukrainian producer Allumino makes his second appearance on the label by contributing his track Melancholy to the EP. As the title suggests this is sombre composition whilst also managing to be magical & inspirational as you traverse the full cycle of emotions. An experience created through the use of tribal European woodwind sounds, subtle electro guitar & piano melodies to produce an elevated atmospheric feel. Emotional strings add to the sense of sorrow, only to be uplifted once again by the enchanting pads, enveloping basslines & the orchestral complexion of this track.

[A] MidKnighT MooN - Borneo:
Opening the EP is Borneo, a track that adopts MidKnighT MooN's distinctive deep and minimalistic style, with familiar snappy drums and murky mid bass reeses. Infused with stabs and dark chilling piano, producing deep and expansive sounds to replicate the feeling of moving through the dense Borneo jungle.

[B] MidKnighT MooN - Hold On:
Hold On is an atmospheric track fraught with emotion as it centres around its deep and almost sinister bassline. A tight drum combination and additional plucky strings, work together with a dark and mysterious saxophone to set the tone, whilst subtle Techno elements are hidden within.

[C] MidKnighT MooN - Transtemporal:
The title track Transtemporal is progressive in style and inspired by some of the early workings of Commix. As is evident by the spacious and aerated feel, to give a sense of floating, which is achieved through the use of an old school low frequency sub, for extra depth and to reminisce about the golden days of Drum & Bass.

[D] MidKnighT MooN - Keep It Moving:
Keep It Moving is a track that was influenced by a passion for Hard House during MidKnighT MooN's early years as a musician. Featuring vocal enhancements and a mid range inspired by an old Defective Audio track, merged with mystical sounds, rolling bass and modern drums, to bring a nostalgic style up to date and into the present.

[E] MidKnighT MooN - Another Dimension:
Completing the EP is the 5th and final track Another Dimension, which owes its origins to the new sound of Techno. A dynamic Drum & Bass track designed be the pathway to the galaxy with a futuristic sounding horn and exploratory chimes, deep subs and continuous arps that evolve into pads and seemingly go on forever.

[A] Ellementhz - Smokin':
Ellementhz presents his first individual artist release on Nu Venture Records with Smokin' being his debut NVR EP. Returning to impose some additional Brazilian flair to the label Ellementhz opens the EP with the title track Smokin'. Dry beats and straight harmonics combine with an underground breakbeat influence and supernatural ambience to create this Drum & Bass roller.

[B] Ellementhz - Moon The Moon:
Moon the Moon owes its existence to an inspirationally clear night with a glistening full moon. Representing the effects of a shimmering moon dancing across the dark and expansive night sky, this Drum & Bass track features; lashings of forceful sub bass, mysterious pads and a distinctive and vibrant rolling groove throughout.

[C] Ellementhz - Panic Room:
The final track of the release is Panic Room, which the creation of, was influenced by the soundtrack to a panic based tv series. Replicating the organ from the series theme music Ellementhz uses this to produce the main loop for the track and set the atmospheric feel. Sharp drums and contrasting subtle hi hats work alongside disturbing vocal whispers and haunting screams, to achieve the effect of fear and panic, whilst closing out this dynamic EP from the South American producer.

[A] Perplex - Let Me Tell Ya:	
Nu Venture Records kick off 2021 with returning artist Perplex and his second EP on the label. Let Me Tell Ya opens the EP and showcases Perplex’s love for in your face Dancefloor Drum & Bass which becomes evident from the moment the beat begins. From the onset teasing vocal hooks work together with Trance inspired arpeggiators, to give the intro its momentum, before paving the way for the lead vocal which sets the tone for this track. As the vocal builds into the drop the arps are reintroduced before the arrival of a highly energetic and bouncy bass riff alongside tight crispy drums.

[B] Perplex - Staring Down The Barrel:
The title track of the EP Staring Down the Barrel, begins with a pitch bent synth within the intro, before intensifying to become the main focus and reveal the menacing intentions of this track. As the once prominent synth withdraws into the background, the lead vocal line then takes command for the build up to the drop. The spoken vocal adds suspense to the occasion as the build up progresses, before emerging as a dark rolling banger with a floor shaking bassline, coupled with aggressive punchy drums.

[C] Perplex - Fears Of The Night:
Perplex presents another signature bass heavy stomper by the name of Fears Of The Night. Commencing with a mischievous drum and mesmerising arp combination, with the addition of dark baselines and the introduction of a lead synth, that dominates early proceedings. The track progresses with the use of lashings of side-chained risers and white noise, before culminating into a drop that is destined to destroy dance floors with its lethal bass riff, hard hitting drums and the eventual re-emergence of  the catchy lead synth.

[D] Perplex - Beast Of Space:
Perplex closes out the EP with Beast Of Space, the final track continuing in a similar dark theme, as the intro begins with a catchy guitar riff coupled with techy stabs and enticing risers. The lead bassline is then gradually revealed whilst the heavy drums build momentum and are slowly faded out, before Beast Of Space drops into a tearing bass, crafted with big wobbles and teasing stabs to complete this dynamic Upfront Drum & Bass EP.

Opening the EP is the title track Music Got Me, designed to restore the feel good factor for 2021 with its dreamy and chilled approach. Featuring atmospheric strings and guitar strums that together make you feel like you're floating in the clouds, alongside a deep rolling bass line and a complimentary selection of vocal samples, to complete this funky summer tune.

[B] MidKnighT MooN - Walk With Me:
Walk With Me was a creation that evolved from an idea of reviving strum bass back into DnB, an idea which was then combined with the natural pleasing characteristics of Liquid, to produce this track. With a heavy influence from the sound of Rudimental, MidKnighT Moon creates a smooth jazz flow throughout that is equally at home on the dancefloor or in a relaxed environment. Achieved through the use of catchy horns that command attention, deep pianos and a gospel inspired vocal, coming in to soothe your soul.

[C] MidKnighT MooN & SLUNK - Slide:
To close the EP MidKnighT MooN presents Slide, originally composed as a garage track, before being developed and receiving a Liquid Drum & Bass rework in collaboration with SLUNK. Beginning with 90's Hip Hop inspired drums combined with evocative pads and addictive vocal samples, before progressing with the introduction of lush Rhodes and a deep but mellow bass, to sign off and show the diversity of this deep, soulful and jazzy release.
