UK-based CHANNE (pronounced SHAN) emerged onto the scene with her debut track on Toolroom Records 'Ecstasy & Love'. With support on BBC Introducing, Sola Radio, Select Radio & played in clubs such as Ministry of Sound, this track rocked the dance floors. Her next track on Toolroom 'Jump & Twist' received support from some of the biggest names in the industry such as: Vintage Culture, Mark Knight, R3WIRE, Lumberjack and received plays from Paul Reynolds on the legendary Ushuaia Ibiza main stage. CHANNE broke onto Toolroom's Radar in 2022 when she won their Academy Scholarship with PIPES for their remix of Ben Remember's Track 'Break Through'. She also went on to win 1st place in the Data Transmission Remix Competition and 3rd place in the Lady of the House Remix Competition, securing releases with both labels and spending 5 weeks in the Hype House Chart with her Lady of the House Remix. Hustle Radio EP017 CHANNE

During my twenty years of being a nightclub dj, I played a lot of different clubs in a bunch of towns, for all kinds of different crowds, and even different music formats...but, the biggest club nights I ever worked were always on a Saturday night--so, in honor of that, here's a club house track that should keep a floor filled.  

Some of the sound design and arrangement decisions made on this track are worth pointing out:  

--The synths on this track are very digital--giving it a 90s feel, I think.  But those are contrasted with the funky guitar skritich segments and a nicely warmed up bass.  (There's a little bit of Modjo "Lady" vibe there.)  

--The spoken word parts definitely remind me of those "party chat line" ads that used to run late at night--and I've kept them, purposefully, further back in the mix than I normally would, but they do get more prominent as the track goes on.  

-The sung part of the vocals on this track are always at constant forward part in the mix.  (I should also share a secret--this is not the first time that the actual words being sung in an Interbay track are not what you'd assume they are...but the confirmation bias from having read the title makes it sound slightly different than what it actually is.  I've managed to even convince myself of this, even though I know the truth!  (Brains.  Am I right?)  

Not much else to say here--it's a good dance track that, worthy of a listen...and, had it been available to me, I'd have put in the crates of 12"s I'd bring to Saturday Night Massive (or Saturday Night Revolution or all of the other names on all of the club flyers for the places I was lucky enough to spin for...  Those were certainly the days.)
