Greek electronic music platform, ‘π‘ turns seven this year and brings new features on its label catalogue. ‘Variable Remixes’ is the first remixes EP of the Pi Electronics Various Artists series ‘PEVA’. Five tracks from the debut compilation ‘Variable’ –released in 2018- are getting remixed by some of the label’s favorite acts.

Unhuman’s “imminent Fear” gets an alternative Version by the legendary, Spanish band of Esplendor Geometrico.
Damcase’s “INKL Rules” is remixed by American producer Container.
The untitled track of the Variable compilation, by the artist project “I am Legion, for We are many”, gets reinterpreted by the Canadia duo of Rich Oddie (Orphx) and Huren as ‘O/H’.
On the flip side, the track ‘GBNR17’ of the label’s ‘3.14’ gets its fix by Spanish, industrial techno maestro, Geistform and DΛS’ “Spinner” receives a special remix treatment by Athens’ infamous ANFS.

Noise break-beats of different tastes on the A side, with stomping industrial beats for the club and sub-club environment on the B side.

Nachtstrom Schallplatten is thrilled to welcome Liza Aikin to the label family. Liza is an electronic music producer based in Berlin. Resident DJ at Tresor, she’s also a live act performer, dedicated to tailor made music production, always looking to recreate the sound she was missing in the dance floor, with field recordings and modular synthetisers, Liza’s music has previously been released on labels such as Mord Records, Emetic, Gegen Records Evar Records, Obscuur and Voxnox. Liza makes her debut on Nachtstrom Schallplatten in form of this beautifully crafted 4 track EP, which consists of 3 original productions and a remix by one of Berlin’s finest producers: the notorious Headless Horseman. The 12”-version will be coming on coloured vinyl with a fully printed sleeve and will be strictly limited to 100 copies! The release will hit the stores on the 6th of September. It has been two years since the first compilation on the Various Artists series (PEVA) of Pi Electronics and the concept has stayed true to its aim: to present a coherent selection of the label’s favourite collaborators from the roster and parties over the years. Bringing together Greek and international artists, this compilation opens with a 10 minute recording by the combined forces of Orphx and JK Flesh (Justin Broadrick), from a live performance recorded in Amsterdam. Meanwhile we also showcase the resurfacing of Vofa, the joint project of producers Sawf and ANFS. There is a variety of options in this 13 tracks release; from the raw and harsh textures of An-i and New Frames, to Lycurgus live drum set recordings, Kondaktor’s African percussive electronics and Sarin’s EBM infused techno. Some more techno interpretations, such as the hypnotic moods of Stave and Fragedis, or the more punchy sounds of Restive Plaggona and Poison Green. These shape the full picture of this second Pi Electronics compilation titled ‘Divide & Rule’.

Scary Beautiful consisted of five DJ sets in which Nastia played pre-selected unreleased tracks by electronic music producers from all over the world that are now released as a compilation of five LPs via Nastia’s record label  ‘NECHTO’. 
The last instalment took place on the territory of one of Ukraine’s most monumental steel factories - ‘ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih’, which dates back to 1934 when the first pig iron was produced. 85% of the manufactured products from Ukraine are exported to new construction sites in 65 countries and the plant annually produces 6, 000, 000 tons of steel. The final release of Scary Beautiful’s first season illuminates the industrial and raw energy of techno and consists of music tracks by producers from Japan, Ukraine, Hungary, Belgium, Brazil, Greece, and Scotland.
