DJ DnYaLL came out of retirement to perform for the Seattle University Choirs' end of the year Open Mic Night! I've been singing in a choir practically my whole life, and with the SU Choirs for around 6 years now. I'm so grateful for the community that choir gave me through my time in undergrad as well as the opportunity to continue singing with them after graduating. This short set was one of many amazing performances by members of the choirs, and features three pieces we have sung in the past.

Choir Open Mic 2022 - DJ DnYaLL Mini Live Set

Every sound in this song started out as a sound that a humming bird makes. Through sampling and manipulation, I was able to create different sounding drum and synth sounds with different humming bird noises ranging from the wing beat to it's chirp. The finished song sounded slightly empty so I went out and sampled audio from Hank Green's "The Strange Anatomy of Humming Birds" on his SciShow YouTube channel (link below) to make it educational as well!

Hummingbird Bounce (Original Mix) [Surround Sound]

Was challenged by a friend to create a song using Mario samples, so I decided to create a song about the biggest friendship killer I've ever seen in any video game ever: The Blue Shell from Mario Kart. Many of the game samples I used were from Mario Kart Double Dash, Mario Kart 7, and Mario Kart 64.  Enjoy, and as always, feedback is greatly appreciated!
