I originally wasn't as in tune with what was going on generally with 17BUCKS earlier in development, so when I alongside a couple of others were approached with remaking a song more aligned with the creator's vision for the update, I did my best to research, study the song, and make sure at least the essence of the song was somewhat similar. It became a place to represent the things I like alongside Turnip as a character along with Froad. I sampled my favorite musicians and said progressions. I'm not great at Mario stuff.

I never feel great about replacing songs in general, but I cannot deny that I absolutely loved working on it. I was very much inspired by the remix fluffyhairs made and decided to utilize it. They've been an inspiration for me for a long time, but nobody say a word.

I hadn't really connected with Alien much before this point in the project, so when I got asked to help out with their song, it felt like a good chance to just hang out and figure out their creative vision a bit better. It was just this little in-between track where we got to play around and sample some bullshit. Sometimes those are the ones that end up meaning the most because they come from a genuine place of collaboration and just wanting to make something that feels right. I'm really glad it turned out to be special in its own way.
