Rebecca Lewis of Radio WFUV covers the creation of a youth-generated mural for the plaza below the Metro-North Harlem-125th Street Station. Creative Art Works Youth Employees painted the mural in August as part of the DOT's efforts, in conjunctions with the New Harlem East Merchants Association, to activate the space below the Metro-North viaduct.

"Your Choices Matter", DOT's Vision Zero ad campaign utilizes powerful images and copy to get the attention of New Yorkers and emphasize the serious consequences of dangerous driving choices. The data-driven and focus-group tested campaign focuses on the specific actions that contribute to fatalities on our streets.  Media placements include geo-targeted outdoor placements in addition to online, radio and television ads.
