Ecate is the title worthy of deities and of UFOMAMMUT's seventh studio full-length, which has been confirmed for North American release late this March worldwide via Neurot Recordings.

The Italian power trio, known for their incredibly heavy capabilities and psychedelic prowess, has as many discernible similarities as they do differences to their formative roots. Defying classification of simply a “doom act,” UFOMAMMUT charges their sludgy output with inimitable energy and wayfaring ambition through a tight knit musical understanding which flows telepathically between members, Poia, Urlo, and Vita.

On their latest album, UFOMAMMUT takes a confident step forward with their craft, orchestrating atmospheric processions that take the six songs on the album to places as-of-yet uncharted, the only guide being that of Ecate (Hecate in English), the three-sided goddess who moves between the realms of the living, the dead, and the gods. Traditionally associated with matters of the liminal, as statues of her can be found at crossroads and city walls, where she would be believed to either bless or curse travelers, she represents the link between the past, the present and the future in a way which resonates true with UFOMAMMUT, and with the name of the band, too.

Ecate will see release in Germany on March 27th, in Europe on March 30th and in the US on March 31st.

After some silent months that have went over to silent years, German Metallers CHAPEL OF DISEASE now present their highly anticipated new album “...And As We Have Seen The Storm, We Have Embraced The Eye”!

Starting in 2008 as a band dwelling in the raw death metal sounds from the late 80s, CHAPEL OF DISEASE released their debut “Summoning Black Gods” in 2012. Three years later it would soon become obvious that strictly following a certain genre would eventually lose its attraction to the band. With their 2015 full-length “The Mysterious Ways Of Repetitive Art” the band would find their way of mixing up sounds to create something unique.

With “...And As We Have Seen The Storm, We Have Embraced The Eye” CHAPEL OF DISEASE follow that path, yet disregarding any genre specific expectations even more and putting all the effort in simply making diversified, enthralling heavy music. The outcome is a record somewhere between the atmosphere of black and death metal, including riffing from the golden days of the 70s and soundscapes of the synthie 80s.

Combining their life-long fascination with 80s industrial acts such as GGFH and Skinny Puppy with modern subgenres such as witch house, horrorcore, while remaining deeply rooted in the black metal movement of the last millennium, they are again exploring new sonic extremes. ‘The Reptilian Side of God’ is a relentless and dystopian tour de force, demonstrating a total lack of respect for stylistic boundaries and conventions. It is a musical aberration, a freak project, if you will – cold and bleak – with powerful, pulsating basses, devastating drums and harsh synth leads, supplemented by the intense vocal performance of Urfaust’s IX – ushering the listener into uncharted and hitherto unknown territories.

M3†H ΔSSΔSSIN’s ‘The Reptilian Side of God’ presents a claustrophobic vision of a world about to end; nihilistic in its intent, raw, pure and precise in its execution. It is the final death growl of a disillusioned era – infused with demons, eagerly awaiting the triumphant return of The Eternal Adversary.
