This is part of a live mix set from an evening that was dedicated as a tribute to our very dear friend, legendary DJ/producer, and sound system designer Angel Moraes. The night was held at the Sanctuary which is where Angel's studio was based and is home to the last sound system installation he ever did. A beautiful and intimate room with an amazing fully analog system of 10000w, resulting in pure sonic bliss! The music was provided by the Collective and hosted by the Collective and Carlos from factory 93!

Our guest on the show this month is a staple of the New York underground scene, a resident for Bespoke Musik and recently joined the All Day I Dream roster. Christian Voldstad has an incredible ear for music and is a master of his craft. His thoughtful, layered DJ sets focus on the low end frequencies with a melodic and sometimes melancholic touch. The end result is just as suited for a nightclub dance floor as it is for a desert sunset. 

With the upcoming creation of Bespoke Musik’s record label in 2022, expect to hear Christian’s first original productions as well as a preview of his upcoming music project. We can’t wait for it!

Marola, also known as “@marolarayadisco,” is a Dominican DJ and Producer of Electronic Music and the creator of Rayadisco Entertainment. Spinning minimal deep house, techno and techno house, Marola’s unique sound is characterized by the rich, sophisticated tropical sounds and flavours of the Caribbean.

Born and raised in Santo Domingo, Marola grew up surrounded by lively music. At an early age, she fell in love with old school and underground house. That love for music soon became a passion to create and entertain the masses. She began pursuing the art of DJing as way of expressing her passion for music. For Marola, there is nothing as rewarding as seeing the crowd dancing, sweating, and having a great time.

Marola has opened for top DJs like wAFF, Hobo, Tara Brooks, Andrade, Sydney Blu, Patrick Topping and others. As a resident DJ, she has played in the trendiest spots of Dominican Republic and Canada.

Sven Tasnadi is without doubt a firm figure in the European electronic music scene. Hailing from the German city of Leipzig, his sound has developed and reached exciting heights as his musical journey has taken him from his vivid city's club scene onto exploring Chicago house, techno and acid and finally oscillating towards minimalistic forms of deep house and percussive reduced tech-house as well as tracks on the techno side.

After releasing on several net labels Sven's career really took off as his vinyl release (a collab with Daniel Stefanik) on the Moon Harbour sub label Cargo Edition came out in 2007.  Since then his tracks have appeared on EPs released by labels such as Cocoon Recordings, Smallville Records, Poker Flat Recordings, Liebe*Detail and Ornaments. as well as 2020Vision and the Berlin based label Katermukke. Sven Väth was especially impressed by Tasnadi early on and licensed his track "Waiting For You Again" for his "Sound of Season" compilation. At the same time, Sven produced more than a dozen remixes for Steve Bug, Johannes Heil, Anja Schneider and others. With regular releases on Cargo Edition, as one of its most important artists, Sven had a considerable impact on the label’s sound.  Since a few years Sven has taken it a step further and is focussing on his own label - Headfire International, which has releases of Sven himself and the likes of Daniel Stefanik and Steve Bug. 

Playing at countless clubs and festivals across Europe Sven Tasnadi has regularly visited cities like Ibiza, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Stockholm, Barcelona and Rome, not to mention having played several times at the infamous Fabric London. Constantly working on new material, Sven keeps hitting the road to continue to DJ (or play live) and mesmerise the dancing crowds at the most important venues across Europe. Les deux chums ont fait connaissance sur les bancs d’école dès l’âge de 14 ans. Après (bip) années d'amitié, imaginez la complicité qui les unit dans la vie... et maintenant vous avez une idée de la vibe qui se retrouve derrière les tables. 

C’est en 2000 qu’elles ont la chance de côtoyer quelques-uns des meilleurs DJs montréalais qui leur transmettent cette merveilleuse passion. Ayant la ferme volonté de maitriser cet art, chacune d’elle s’équipe pour ensuite passer de multiples soirées à jouer ensemble dans leur salon, pour le pur plaisir de la chose. 

Aujourd’hui, elles ont la chance de faire partie de la belle et grande famille convoitée du Salon Daomé où leur soirée High Heels Prohibited connaît beaucoup de succès depuis 6 ans.  Elles profitent de ces moments de pur bonheur pour inviter des talents et amis de la scène montréalaise aussi bien que des invités internationaux qu’elles ont eu la chance de rencontrer lors de leurs nombreuses participations aux différents festivals de musique électronique. On a pu aussi les entendre régulièerement à Montréal au ((Stereo)), ((Stereobar)), Velvet, Piknic Electronik Montréal et Barcelone ainsi qu'à l'incomparable Igloofest.

Depuis plus de 9 ans, une seule chose les pousse à se dépasser… leur volonté à vouloir partager leur passion contagieuse pour la musique électronique.  Vous succomberez à la touche féminine qu’elles apportent à leur son.  Un bon Tech/Tech House bien rond avec un bon base line qui vous fera groover comme seules les filles peuvent le faire.

This dynamic duo met in school at the age of 14.  Automatically, they got a sense of each other’s qualities and stuck together for better or worse. Today, you can witness their chemistry when behind the decks. 

After (beep) years of friendship, you can imagine how close they are and how their lives are intertwined... and now you get the idea of the vibe behind the tables.

In 2000, they met with some of the best Montreal DJ's who pass on this wonderful passion. With the firm will to master this art, they both kitted themselves out and spent many a night spinning together in their living room, just for the fun of it.

Today, they count themselves lucky to be part of Salon Daomé's extended family, where their High Heels Prohibited event is a huge success. They take advantage of these moments of pure bliss to invite friends and other talents from the Montreal scene as well as international guests they had the opportunity of meeting during their many appearances at various electronic music festivals. They have played at ((Stereo)), ((Stereobar)), Club U.N., Belmont, Passeport, Circus Afterhours, Piknic Electronik as well as at the Festival BPM of Playa del Carmen in Mexico.

For over 9 years now, only one thing has urged them to push themselves further... their desire to share their infectious passion for electronic music. You will fall under the charm of their sound with a definite feminine touch. A well rounded Tech/Tech House with a great base line that will get you grooving like only girls can do.
