Most people probably haven't heard of the term "hyperfocusing" before but it's one that specifically hits close to home for me. In layman's terms, it's something people with ADD/ADHD like myself do where we basically just get super sucked into a particular thing we find interesting, sometimes losing track of time as a whole. For better or for worse it's become integral to my music making process. If I really get sucked into an idea I can work for hours, only to end up realizing it's 6am and I've worked straight through the night!

"Reckless" had a unique creation process. I usually work out of my home studio, but I felt I needed to switch things up. I took my laptop to my living room, opened up all my windows, and stared writing. I learned that sometimes you need to change the actual space you're in to get in the right headspace when writing a tune. I'm very honored to be a part of the "Rebirth" project that DSV has put together. As a person who deals with mental illness', supporting a charity that raises awareness about them is very important to me.
