The first verse is for the wifey, the second verse for single mothers and the third is my favorite...the girl you called slut who grew up. The reason I love the 3rd verse so much cause I know that girl, I made fun of that girl, I slept with that girl and I belittled that girl. But I grew up, whose to say she didn't. That verse speaks from her perspective and even explains why or how she became known to be a slut. I think it is such a powerful record that speaks to a group of woman who are frowned upon and looked at badly in society. I get a lot of girls who come to me and ask how I was able to speak for them like that. I just thank God for a change in mindset.

Gamal (pronounced with a lower case g) is originally from Brooklyn, NY but is now currently residing in the DMV area, which is why he sometimes goes by the moniker “NYSouthernBoy”. He has a love and deep-rooted passion for all types of music but currently feels music is lacking the integrity, heart and soul it used to. Originally intending to simply be a fan and occasionally write for others, a desire to hear a clean your house album “putting a CD on in the bedroom w/o worrying about running every 5 min to change the song because the whole album can play straight through” has forced him to make the introspective debut album “OMW-One Man’s Walk.” The ability to share personal insight that relates to the people, give vivid storytelling that puts you in the life of his characters, and the gift to inspire others to want to achieve more, are a few of the gifts/talents that God has blessed Gamal with.
