Tev's "I am who I am." is a breath of fresh air. After only been rapping for a year or so, he veers away from his signature boom bap style & explores a more sonic sound with more harmonies & melodies. With crisp, smooth engineering/production from Chris Moronta along with Tev's smooth monotone voice a very solid project was created. Tev still very much so lyrical is able to seep into the mid of Rap fanatics & lyrical feens. On "Midnight," he talks speaks on how open the mind is at mid-night & his questions his life purpose. ("BIG BOYZ") has a hint of the old 2000s era New York vibe. ("Pree Dem")warns us to watch for the snakes & fake friends/family. ("Peace of Mind") brings a bouncy flare to the project as Tev talks about acquiring a peace of mind. At the end of the day we all are who we are.
