Yax is a techno DJ from Adelaide, Australia drawing influence from the likes of artists such as DVS1, Jeff Mills, and Setaoc Mass. His style is continuously evolving through extensive digging for deep, groovy, hypnotic, and minimal techno, as he takes inspiration from the 90s and early 00s era, while still adding a modern twist to his sets. Yax also curates a weekly podcast series called Yax Invites, which began in 2021 with the aim of showcasing talent from around the world with an emphasis on extended techno mixes. This week we are joined by the Amsterdam based Fabiënne, also known as Vibrance. Her artist name reflects the aim to raise vibrations, getting people into a flow state and connecting with themselves and others on the dance floor. She seamlessly blends dreamy and raw sounds with proper techno, creating a warm and energetic flow.

Her current style is focused on underground techno, embracing her love for the genre that was ignited during her exploration of the vibrant and diverse underground scene in Amsterdam over the past decade. Her style is trippy, sexy and fierce with edges of dub and Detroit techno.

What makes her unique as a DJ is that she has a background in yoga and psychology: she is aware of how music can influence emotions, atmosphere and energy.

TECH CLUBBERS PODCAST W/ MALANDRØ 

Albert, also known as Malandrø, developed a strong passion for music and sound from a young age. His musical journey began at the age of 14 when he started playing guitar in a rock band in his hometown of Quito.
Since then, Albert has earned a degree in sound engineering and a diploma as a studio musician. In 2016, he made the momentous decision to relocate to Berlin, where his artistic focus shifted toward electronic music. As a dedicated partygoer who thoroughly enjoys dancing, his mixes consistently deliver music that is meant for the dancefloor.
Stylistically, Malandrø's sound is versatile and continually evolving. However, certain elements remain a constant presence in his mixes. These include mind-bending loops, percussions bursting with infectious grooves, a fusion of raw components and diverse atmospheres, and a seamless blend of both classic and contemporary tracks.

Nahuel Rodriguez, known as "Mesh Convergence", is a notable techno producer from Spain.

Starting with a passion for Linkin Park and metal in 2006, he delved into electronic music by 2010 and firmly reconnected with techno in 2020. His diverse musical palate includes Electro, Breakbeats, Jungles, Drum & Bass, and IDM.

Influenced by Iberian techno producers, Nahuel's unique sound has been featured on labels like Utopia, TMM, Sungate, Subsist, and more. Notable artists such as DVS1 and Adriana Lopez have included his tracks in their sets at renowned venues like Berghain and Tresor.

Nahuel's music, drawing inspiration from science fiction and the natural world, offers listeners an immersive escape. With forthcoming releases and a vision to provide a sonic journey, he remains a significant figure in the techno scene.

My next guest on Yax Invites is BMBMND.

BMBMND is an Italian artist based in Amsterdam and is presenting to you a telluric texture of hypnotic and techno sounds that form a repetitive groove of low frequencies and a samba of high frequencies. The Dub-Ambient influences lead the listener to the melancholic sounds of the past which will also be those of the future.

BMBMND is a project born in 2015 from the mind of Andrea Domeniconi. Growing up between two Italian cities, Bologna and Rimini, Andrea is currently based in Amsterdam.

Being influenced by trance and dub-techno, nowadays Acid and ambient Andrea manages to show his melancholic yet meditative side as a blend of atmospheric, grinding rhythms and perfectly positioned harmonies, which together form his unconscious.

BMBMND's music is an harness of telluric currents that flow deep under an hypnotic pulse, creating a state of equilibrium between the club atmosphere and an inescapable and seductive sound. 

In Amsterdam, he operated as a contributor of the Norwegian platform - MONUMENT. In 2019, Andrea joined the family of Monument, a techno music blog based in Oslo. He was appointed as Social Media Contributor and Facebook Page Owner. In his time working with the Monument team, Andrea grew even more as part of the techno community. 

 "You are what you dance" This is the philosophy of BMBMND, an artist whose opinion strongly acknowledges that the lack of individuality is killing music's genuine value. 

In this frenetic era, individuals should treat social media's influence with caution in order no to lose the distinctiveness of their creative mind.

Hekato jest związana z muzyką i sztuką od dzieciństwa. Już jako dziecko uczyła się śpiewu i tańca ludowego, a także interesowała się malarstwem. Pochodzi z Rybnika, jednak obecnie mieszka we Wrocławiu, gdzie rozwija swoją karierę muzyczną.
Początkowo zafascynowana deep techno, w miarę upływu czasu, zaczęła skłaniać się w stronę szybszych brzmień, wplatając w swoje sety nawet trance'owe akcenty. Jej występy są pozbawione kompromisów, a jakość i oryginalność są dla niej priorytetem. 
Mimo swojej mocnej osobowości na scenie, Hekato jest introwertyczną duszą, która wyraża swoje emocje poprzez muzykę, jednocześnie zabierając słuchaczy w głęboką podróż dźwiękową.

In 2020 I began creating my own music—a work that remains in constant progress today. Rediscovering, reintroducing, and reconfiguring the context; with each interpretation aimed at crafting an atmosphere rooted in techno and generative art.

I’ve worked in collaboration with Balls, Keyhole Records, Liberta Records, NYXII, and many more.

Throughout this year, I’ve focused on shaping and perfecting my own sound as it evolves, remaining faithful to its characteristic sound of quest.

This mix was recorded by a selection of Stier's own music as well as collaborations with other artists.

His sets aim to be hypnotic, fast, and percussive to provide maximum energy. Andy Pi offers a journey between dance and mental exploration.

Having performed in 2023 at Säule (Berghain) and at events organized by the Collectif Kluster, he also coordinates events for his own collective Nébuleuse, featuring line-ups that explore new forms of expression in deep and mental techno.
