i wanted to convey the song like the way i interpreted it, and the way i interpreted it is that the vocalist is heartbroken, and in this song, he's sharing his past, expressing how he wants to go back in time and fix things, and this helps him let it go. as he sings, he realizes that he has to let things go to be happy.
