Exclusive: Shine Grooves - Tool

Yekaterinburg-based electronic music wizard Shine Grooves delivers the next EP on Lisbon record store and label Carpet & Snares Records, run by Jorge Caiado and Roy, The six-tracker, that goes by the name of Space Garden, focuses on spheric sounds and, as the EP title suggests, creates futuristic approaches readying the listener for a night finding shelter in escapism. The B1, Tool, is probably the most forward-going take from the EP and lures the listeners into its groove with what can be described as a stripped-down Dub-Techno weapon. The repetitive loop, which makes the track one hell of a dance floor tool, is built upon or around a tempting chord-sequence and a driving bass line with atmospheric background pads - catchy, intriguing and highly addictive or an ordinary Shine Grooves track.

Shine Grooves' Space Garden EP will be released on Carpet & Snares Records on February 7th, 2022.

Patric Cele is a great producer from Durban S.A and now brings us to 2phonic Recordings an EP with two works focused on the dance floor without losing that deep essence that characterizes him, immersing us in a parallel world.
"Can I Be With You" is a track with jazzy touches seasoned with vocals and effects that slide through the basic piano, keeping us immersed in the dark side of house.
"The Groove" lives up to its own title, this track is somewhat harder and more powerful with a more pronounced punch and chords riding through its nocturnal street atmosphere.

For our sixth release, we are very proud to present the man we see as the most talented Deep House producer of the decade, UK's finest Miles Sagnia. Miles' music is of the most innovative and influential to hit the industry since a long time, and we were already  huge fans of his work when we launched the whole Flyance experience back in 2014.
This upcoming record also features three remixes of Miles' track : the first one from our favourite Japanese duo, Monotix ;  the second from Taapion records' co-owner and rising talent PVNV ; and the final one from ourselves, under the techno alias KAS.ST. 
We've added a bonus track, that will be only available via our bandcamp page.
This is another one we hope will be pushing forward the boundaries of Deep House and Deep Techno. We hope you enjoy it !

Havantepe from Istanbul is back with his second record on 200 Records! He delivers two strong epic, deep and dubby tracks: S.I.L.A. and Guidance. Moreon & Baffa from Venezuela, now living in Barcelona, visited us last summer in Cologne for a club night. We were very happy that they offered us a remix for a next release. Their and Havantepe’s music are are perfect match and the tracks together represent the typical 200 sound as well as their styles. Skylax Armagnac's darling who released his first EP just a year ago, which had an international resonance with rave reviews from Resident Advisor, Bicep, Chaos in the CBD, Peach or even soul clap. Rightly some saw it as a resurgence, a modernized version of 90s New York house, silky and elegant in the Bobby Konders, Mr Fingers way. For this new EP, with fantastic remixes of the brilliant Simoncino, our French prodigy is inspired by the beginnings of trance on the title song (and title of the ep by the way) "The world as we know it (masterclass mix)", UK dub and rave influences, as on some Nu Groove releases (notably the first joey beltram) - the lead vocal sample comes from a speech in which Noam Chomsky describes the United States as a violent country and hard. According to the author "If this piece says something, I believe it is that the music and the party should not serve to forget the problems of the world, but rather to find the strength, the resources, the inspiration to solve them." On "Oh La Musique" Armagnac used the sound of his neighbors as a voice sample ! Indeed, during this incredibly complicated period that we are living in, confinement due to the devastating effects of covid 19, one of his neighbors played music really loudly and for 20 minutes ignored the other neighbors who were screaming "oh oh, the music" through the window. "Turning this moment of irritation into a sample to the glory of the music strikes me as pretty funny." Still according to the author. On B1, it’s a house masterclass lesson by the phenomenal & ultra prolific Simoncino, but do i need to remind you how much italians are masters in their way of paying homage to all the best house music that has ever been created & produced ? Good taste is often on their side ! The red zone club is a tense and incredibly effective mix that can be enjoyed either on a house or techno dancefloor, it is clearly a banger. B2 saw the italian master offers us a beautiful ambient mix. And to conclude "On My Own" is according to Armagnac "a title that speaks of the trust that one can place in one's fellow human beings and of emancipation." A superb EP that adds to the long list of must-haves from Skylax Records.
