"Seems fabricated. Fiction. A solitary mass girt by salty, effervescent liquid. The surrounding water, depending on the movement of the hot or cold air, either remains opaque, oil-like and flat, or crystallises in motion on the surface, remaining paper thin and mobile, allowing me to perceive the innumerable different shades of silver glistening on the surface. Jagged slashes of cirrus vapours are mirrored across. This isn’t what captivates me however: clear, cut and broken sounds of small watery masses lapping onto the surface of the sand: contained. The body from afar resembles a growth: a large mound of untamed life, oblivious and able to do as it pleases. Slanting, curling, fighting, pushing, falling, spiralling, reaching, reaching up and up and up towards something that could never be reached. Constantly morphing and pulsing, using it’s genetic characteristic to do so even more efficiently: the colours are an advantage. Melted copper tinges meld into emerald greens, limes, bronze cities of foliage, dark plateaus that seem to conceal some lost miniature civilisations. All born from a singular mound of dirt, sand and mould: microscopic shimmers of life. I observe the shores: a singular boundary encircling the protrusion. Minute deltas of pellucid sap seeping from the living entities that this land is abound with; only perceivable from certain angles where the fiery sun outlines the edges of the channels, displacing minuscule boulders of rock, slowly meandering and making their way towards the the great open, taking their time, unnoticed."
