Slow paced ambient composition with many layers and long build ups, a strong lead melody on top of textures fading out only to be followed by a more uplifting part where high pitched plucks tinkle over rising chords and an industrial snare drum. Out of several layers of drones a fragile tape loop rises and over time becomes the new lead part only to be swallowed by a deep void of nothingness.

After mostly jamming with Elektron sequencers for a year I finally received the expressive Osmose synth. While spending long evenings with going through the presets I came up with what would be the main theme of the first part of the composition. This time I recorded layer after layer - mostly in one take - into the DAW and added the drum part from the Digitakt. I doubled the main melody, pitched it up an octave and let it run through some gate and delay effects controlled by Lfos to get a bit of randomness and unpredictability.

DAZE

This is the music I composed for the scene from Black Mirror: Striking Vipers - which I call 'I love this, I love you'. 

It is a short piece of music, but one that for me has a lot of emotional depth.

This could be developed and extended but for now I am sharing the work as it is heard on film. 

I am sure we will release an official EP at some point with a selection of works from the episode.

I Love This, I Love You.

Hi! This is the sonic outlet of a painter. After being self employed for half a decade I felt the urge to have another creative output in early 2020. The pandemic hit and I took the time to soak up everything I could find about synthesizers, beats, effects, sampling, recording… Initially I never wanted to publish anything and after one year I had plenty of recordings on my HD. It was then that I realized that I was doing this because I saw a video of someone twisting knobs which hit a spark in me. So if I get just one person into making their own music and becoming as passionate about the world of sounds it would totally make sense to publish my work. 
So here we are. A few years have passed. I am still in love with making music. I jam almost every day and occasionally I sit down and record a song :)
