For our 88th episode of So It Goes Radio, we're excited to host Seattle-based producer/DJ  EL1AX as this week's guest.  In 2020, after a six-year hiatus, EL1AX  rekindled his passion for producing music by going beyond the boundaries of genres. Drawing inspiration from techno & progressive maestros such as Laurent Garnier, John Digweed, Paul Kalkbrenner, Guy J, Cid Inc., and Patrice Bäumel, he gradually honed his style into a more melodic and hypnotic sound with live improvisational elements, while still maintaining his hallmark rhythmic percussive grooves. 

EL1AX's 2021 has been very productive as he recently came out with two successful releases on Juicebox Music and Soundteller Records. Enjoy this special mix and if you like what you hear, hit the repost button.  Cheers!

This time Miha and Lenart aka Audiocolours from Slovenia were guests at the turntables
The two guys also run a very cool podcast series on Soundcloud called Audiocolours presents: Come Together.

BIO:
Two best friends (Miha and Lenart) are hiding behind the Audiocolours name, both coming from Skofja Loka, Slovenia. They both had many different musical influences in their childhood, but they share one passion from the very beginning: electronic music. As soon as they could, they went to their first festival, and then the next, and then the next...some of the most noticeable are Ultra Europe, Exit, Balaton Sound and HOLO show by Eric Prydz. After seeing these amazing shows live, they wanted to get on the other side of it, so they started their path “behind the decks”. Their style is more into the house and techno way, which can be seen in their two different weekly show is called Come Together and Audioseek. Come Together is a show that hosts one act a week, most often an act that plays house and techno and many of their variables. Audioseek on the other hand is a mix of their favourite new tracks in the house and techno sphere, where we can see how their unique style is taking shape. Miha and Lenart believe in hard work and they hope to see it pay off in the future, in which they have so
many new ideas coming up so stay tuned!

Yumi Kobayashi(Aarrss)
Yumi has been inspired by nature and had been close to emotional genres such as contemporary art and spiritual world. Now she is trying to show those influences in a music making. She started her career at the age of 16, and has been playing over 100 gigs a year, mainly in Japan, and her Dj playing has been highly acclaimed overseas. So far she has DJed in America, Ibiza and Asia. Although her creative backbone is underground, She builds Multilayered her narrative with a variety of sounds that are characteristic of the deep house scene.

This week we welcome US based artist Cheric to the show.

Bio:

Passion and consistency are the foundation of a true artist. What’s in a name or status compares not to a focused vision no matter the course of the journey. Eric “Cheric” Chen is a Queens, New York native whose vision of making music that keeps true to himself will never alter. Many artists conform to the norm and “the now,” but Cheric creates from the heart, whether he loves his work or battles the inner critic, he won’t deliver unless the music comes from his soul.

Cheric’s music explores the subtle and expansive natures of dance music and that’s landed him original releases and remixes on Click Amsterdam, Cinematique (Manual Music), Baroque, and Box4Joy (Incepto). His remix of Bella Mer’s “Loaded Gun” gained much praise for it’s deep, hypnotizing, progressive soundscape and the story behind it. "Loaded Gun is about the tendency to be drawn toward harm and a desire for danger... a moth to the flame. A world in which every archetype points a loaded gun at each others' heads in judgment and blame." Something many of us can relate to.

With the inner voice telling him to keep focus and stay on the grind, Cheric continues to progress forward as a true artist. An artist who accepts difficulties and successes all the same in order to manifest his vision of making music that keeps true to oneself.
