Jacques Satre from Worst Records brings his signature sound flip that makes “How Do You Called It” into Saint-Etienne’s chillout scene anthem. Five Rituals modifies “Eating Knives” into an experimental bass sound with half-time beat clocking into chugging tempo and weird Lithuanian pop figure appearing between powerful room shaking basslines. Shkema makes the most psychedelic version of "Eating Knives" so far. French producer Bruit Fantôme is known since 2012 for some beautiful records between sytnhwave and electronica released on Alpage Records. He's also known under his monikers Musique d'Ambiance and Transistor Galaxii. That new EP on Tripalium Records firstly existed as a title and an idea: "My next album will be called “Robert Smith” and it will be recorded and listened to on tape". However it was not about The Cure’s coldwave, nor “Futur Noir” or “Vestiges” synthwave, the previous Bruit Fantôme’s EP. There wasn’t, besides of that, any desire to produce an album in a specific style but simply let the track writing came as it was. The result is an EP with 7 dark electro tunes, somewhere between Drexciya, UR, Aphex Twin or Mariel Ito.

PATR1CE - Minimal Mondays Mix 41

The Latvian industrial music label STURM, operating as events series since 1995 and as a label since 2000, releasing industrial related music by Latvian artists presents a forthcoming album release by German/ Latvian minimal EBM/ electro-industrial band IRKLIS entitled "Onkalo".

IRKLIS have been recording music since the late 1980s and had released their previous albums in co-operation with Eric Van Wonterghem's Sleepless Berlin Records.


“Onkalo” is IRKLIS’ fourth album and it contains 11 new songs. The title is a Finnish word describing a hiding place, a small cave used by animals. This basically unencumbered name stands in stark contrast to the possible nuclear horror it hides today, because Onkalo is also the name for the first final repository for nuclear waste in history and it is in Finland. Extreme contrast and abuse of meaning is one central topic of the album Onkalo.

All songs will include a separate video by the aspiring Turkish artist Griang. The videos will be presented on IRKLIS’ youtube channel starting from February 2021.

The lyrics of the song “Into eternity” are from the documentary film of the same name by Mad Madsen, who follows the construction of the Onkalo waste repository, and they state a warning – “A hiding place for the fire to burn into eternity. Go no further.”

Today, we premiere the track 'Omen', a slow ebm track, with subtle industrial influences, developing in a retrospective soundscape. Drums like slow burning flames, in a blurry and hopeless urban field.

Biography: Hailing from Stockholm, music maker since the late 90’s with  debut release on the legendary Skam Records of Manchester in 2001 (much associated with the likes of Gescom / Autechre). Eventually, the current moniker Obergman emerged on genre-essential labels like Stilleben Records, Abstract Forms and Brokntoys; marking the direction towards a more purified sound. Subsequent releases for Börft Records and Furthur Electronix etc, has offered various hybrid forms of electro, acid and proto-techno. Furthermore, a continuous string of releases for some of the most cherished labels within the genre are being launched on a steady pace.
