Albergo Intergalattico Spaziale was an Italian progressive rock project born in Rome in the 70s and made up by Giacomo ‘Mino’ Di Martino and Terra Di Benedetto. ’Sideree Isole’ is taken from a collection of unreleased music from 1974-96 and it is a poem played by Terra, who was a singer and a theater actress. Magnetized and fascinated by the mystical scenario described in the poem, I’ve decided to transcribe this feeling in music. I composed an original and contemporary soundtrack with a slow pace, meditative bass and introspective guitar drones to enhance the psychedelic identity of the lyrics.

Joseph Tagliabue is a music selector and producer based in Milan. He is currently a leading figure in the alternative cultural Italian scene. His meticulous musical research reflects an eclectic style characterized by an Italian attitude wich is the expression of the love for his land and its traditions. Tracing a music-temporal path that comes from ethnic rhythms and popular songs mixed with contemporary electronics and experimental sounds. He takes inspiration from the environment that surrounds him and breaks down the boundaries between the genres, blending its musical influences and reinterpreting its origins with a propensity towards the future. He offers refined, evocative and always different emotional performances, tailor made to the audience without ever abandoning his own music identity.

Listening to Teniente Castillo's mixes, you can imagine his sultry, driving sonics soundtracking the action on Miami Vice; the inspiration behind the Madrid-based producer and DJ's name.

On home turf he's been an advocate for pushing these psychedelic, slow burning sounds, be it through his own output, his DJ sets, sporadic parties or, most prominently, through his Play Pal Music imprint.

For over a decade he's been steering the label through dark and deep waters, which has become a home for artists synonymous with this vibe and style; the likes of Mufti, Vox Low and Curses, to name a few.

It's been a home for several of his own tracks and remixes too, whilst beyond Play Pal he's delivered music on labels with a similar ethos and output to his own, including Ombra Intl, Relish, Roam, Tici Taci, Playground Rec and Sinchi Collective.

He's selective with the mixes he puts together, beyond those shared through his own platforms, so we're honoured to have him contribute to our series with an hour of the heady sounds that he's become known for.

These times are a curse, but having Berliner by choice Curses mixing and compiling the latest art:cast though is a blessing. Ombra International label head is commonly known for blending New Wave and Post-Punk with hunting vocals and guitar riffs as well as maintaining a (dark) Disco vibe. With releases on Jennifer Cardini's Dischi Autunno, Bordello A Parigi or Throne Of Blood Curses can definitely be called and seen as the ambassador of the new Dark Disco musical movement that's gaining more and more recognition. Still the originally from New York originating artist has managed to spoil his audience with quality releases and avoided to jump on the money train. Selective collaborations with Perel, Jennifer Cardini, Chinaski or Terr to name a few, approve the artist's discernment to create musical greatness with finesse. Curses art:cast depicts all of the aforementioned as he comes in with an almost 70 minute lasting piece that takes you criss-cross through his world – partly a bit more disco then again darker and new-wav-ish but always Curses. Luca's, the musician's real name, art:cast exceed all expectations for a simple reason: as a close follower of his art you might know what'll follow, but you do not know how.
