Patching around with the modular till this started coming out. 1 track improvised modular with some random Edgar Oliver readings run through a Phonogene. Basically everything the guy says feels deep so y'can't go wrong. Same with a double entendre title.

Often thinking of working seriously on a way more Ambient project with LSF, never getting around to it. I guess I'll just post sketches. I'm pleased with this atmospheric guitar-y sounding piece done with m'Eurorack modular. Listen to it driving in the rain and enjoy "instand sad film score" The Recipe: Maths is going into A-156 Quantizer then into a Z3000. The 156 trig out drives ADSR-VCA and then all of it goes through a Sound of Shadows delay. I'm pretty sure it is straight out of the box to tape- maybe a few edits to keep it from becoming too too long.

Messing around with this great new Makenoise Echophon Eurorack Module. E350 getting LPGed rhythmically goes into the Echophon. Really loving feeding it a clock and removing it cyclically, it trys to keep sync, then you can hear it get confused and loosing it then finding it again and locking back in. Alternately I'm applying "freeze" which locks the delay buffer as a loop which often ends up grabbing the bits just between steady clock and confusion. Machinedrum and an FMed uLFO as OSC backing it up.

Slow Romance

Someone had asked me to post some sounds from the WMD Geiger Counter on drums. The key to good results with the thing, I think is using a a VCA and envelope following it to close down on residual noise and stuff on the output. Related to that, having good dynamics on the input signal is important to getting stuff that doesn't just blow out all the time. I think just dumping an OSC into it is yawn. Anyway, this is a drum loop from a sampler into Maths channel 1 to get an envelope follower the same signal is multed to channel 2 of maths for a little gain. That give the dry signal. That signal goes into the GC. The output is fed to a VCA with half gain and CV from the Maths Ch.1 - You hear direct in, gain in and manual tweeking of Bit depth, Sample Rate, wavetable, and when gain is enabled tone control.
