Andrew Lee aka Obgon put the sound of Moscow in Autumn into this mix. It’s a dystopian techno affair with a mini-measure of post-punk aesthetics thrown in. The mix consists almost entirely of unreleased stuff, made either by Obgon, his band Interchain, his friend Inga Mauer or PTU. As Philipp Gorbachev puts it, whose label PG Tune sees Obgon’s debut EP released this week, it may very well reflect the techno revolution happening right now in Russia. Special.

Nashville imprint "TRAM Planet" is excited to announce the release of the "Lomay" EP by The Locked Club, making it the first vinyl release of the label. 
Fully loaded rompers, drawing from influences both far and unexpected corners of the globe that have been proven to be tools for the floor. The Russian duo made their debut last year on Private Persons with their "Forever Punk" EP, leaving a heavy mark on lovers of tape-hissed electro, EBM madness, and acid-tinged worship. With their next release, Lomay EP, we see a continuation of that same energy, but with an even more broader approach; pushing the boundaries of what EBM, acid, and techno mean today.

The 20th release from Nina Kraviz’s seminal трип imprint is an homage to some of the most uncompromising manifestations of electronic music imaginable. Tracing sub-cultures from the 90s to the present day, трип 20 interrogates the boundaries of tempo and form via hardcore, gabber, acid techno and ambient. A mix of unreleased material and essential gems, the ten-track compilation visits трип regulars, esoteric masters and relative newcomers on a voyage to the extremities of a global underground.

трип 20 continues the tradition of gatefold double EPs as a conceptual album. All of the tracks are selected around a particular story, a trip, and presented as a continuous sonic landscape. All of the tracks are structured in a way that they can be mixed one with another an endless amount of times making a continuous loop, a trip, that needs only end when the party stops. Kraviz works without release dates or deadlines, enabling her to achieve a certain sound bank to shape the story, unmasking the thoughts and unravelling like a dream.

C2. Shadowax – I want to be a stewardess - Looping vocals welcome you on board for this unfurling trip of multiple guises. What starts as a bare-bone techno sketch evolves into a fucked up mass of breaks, jungle and hardcore from Shadowax, also known as Russian producer and live act Ishome.

Second release on Клуб is co-produced by our Copenhagen friend Rune Bagge and features his two original tracks, as well as a vocal version of 'One Night' with lyrics co-written by Saint Petersburg based artist Nakulla Man and Sergey Sidorov with the assistance of Alexei Borisov of Nochnoi Prospekt fame. 

The vocal version is based on a viral video that was once accidentally shot on our Kurilka dancefloor, and draws inspiration from DAVE The Drummer's 'One Night in Hackney', hence telling the story 'of a young man that visited Клуб for the first time'. Rune, our trap-obsessed friend and a guest of the Kisloty series, kindly wrote the title instrumental in 1 hour time at our request specifically for the vocals. 

Musically, the two instrumentals showcase two respective sides of Bagge's production: while 'One Night' is an up-tempo, synthwave inclined post-dark industrial techno affair, 'Thank You For Not Snitching' is a much more of an emotional and atmospheric tune reminiscent of IDM/Breakbeat's golden days.  


It comes together with a video clip shot by our own Navsegda agency, the only one ever to be shot inside the historical Borovaya 116 building one week after the official closing of the venue, and follows a night-long journey through all the different rooms and experiences that constituted it, including a morning Russian pop sesh at the smoking room.
