Rebirth is the name of the current project of Devin Kroes, a California based producer. He began his musical training at the age of five, taking on every instrument he could get his hands on. After being introduced to electronic music production, he shifted his focus to creating melodically driven bass music that uplifts the soul and enlightens the mind. Fusing bubbling bass with rich soundscapes and ancient melodies he seeks to break free from the traditional ideas of genre and transport listeners into another dimension. "The name of this project directly reflects its intention. I want people to truly find themselves through the music and be reborn, walking away with a better sense of their higher purpose." Be on the lookout for this up and comer as he continues to push the boundaries of music and sound.

A desert crossing Arizona is our starting point for this journey.  Riding a red cadillac, wind blowing in our faces, music rolling on the radio. This is the scenario that Creosote Ep puts us in.  

Side Walks takes us all way through this desert road. At the beginning, it all seems a rhythmic disorganized construction but it evolves to a smooth, harmonic and beautiful melody created by the different elements. The synth and the bass lead the way and that claps and percussion mark the rhythmic. As we go deep on this journey we found Creosote. The bass gives it the freshness needed to contrast with the hot drums, almost like it's raining in the desert. By the end, Matthew Cassidy joined us  through this immersive desert journey.  “Dont pretend”  closes perfectly this ep.

Creosote Ep is a perfect match for any journey, travel or trip.

There’s a universal, elemental feeling to Hip-Hop. Kick and snare thump the same speed as your footfall. The bass is swinging and its got you swinging, too. You’re stomping down broadway ten feet tall because you’ve got the fattest beat in your headphones (or boombox). You’ve got the juice.

Picture that feeling, but instead of broadway you’re high-stepping through candlelit caverns in the Himalayas, aligned as hell, scoping out monks who may or may not be trying to get over on you. In the back corner of the cave Gaddy is spinning fat breaks, old vinyl and Houston Texas hip-hop. Heavy bass and dangling synth chords start rocking the cave, with fresh samples ringing out.
