This track is about women. It’s about female strength and empowerment, about fun, individual and colorful expression and not giving a shit about what other people may think.
“Go Go Go” is part of our album LIQUID LINES. We recorded this 10-track-debut in two different versions - one is orange and a bit more energetic, synthetic and forward going, while the violet version is more calm, organic and soothing in its sound and expression. “Go Go Go (orange version)” is available on all online streaming platforms, while the violet version can only be heard on Bandcamp and of course on our physical records.
We want to encourage the listeners to be more aware when it comes to music consumption. We want to throw an eye on streaming platforms exploiting the music scene and we would like the listeners to appreciate physical records and the act of conscious listening. And we want to do it by creating songs that are close to our hearts.

It’s getting hot when Welsh DJ, producer, artist Mark Newman alias Running Hot steps on the ones and twos to share his 90s infused House-sound and Marks knows the golden era of electronic music quite well. As a regular in the Berlin club-scene, where he moved a while back from London, as well as being home in clubs and on dance floors around the globe, he’s maybe not seen it all but definitely left his mark. Aside from his highly praised DJ-skills Mark has a small but excellent discography with all his EPs being self-released. His remixes though have been out on labels like Jitter, Fauve and Rhode & Brown’s Slam City Jams. In-between all his tasks Mark found the time to chat with Torture the Artist about his Berlin-move, digging records/ music, his relationship to the Love on the Rocks-crew as well as the early days of Running Hot. Additionally he mixed and compiled the latest edition of the art:cast-series.

About you:  Biiiird is a Bremen-based, freshly hatched DJ. Her selection and mixing is driven by the focus on vinyl and the love for housy oldschool sounds in all its different shapes. Next to being attracted by the little imperfections and frictions that, to some extent, can be part of playing records, Biiiird wants to share music in an undogmatic and relieving way 2 make u feel good.


A track/record of your choice that means a lot to you and, if you feel like sharing, why: East 17 - Hold My Body Tight (Danny Tenaglia’s Heavy Vocal Mix), cause when it fell into my life last summer I already associated it with the buttercup series. Looking back from today it almost feels a bit magical that it's actually on it now. It was also one of my key motivations to start collecting vinyl, cause I could not find a propper digital version. As this is my first mix ever, it feels good to have it by my side.

Phantasia Mix 5 comes from Phantasia collective member Carl Meinheit. The mix starts dark and moody and leads through various styles and moods of (acid) house and techno to deeper and more melodic sounds. 
Particularly noteworthy is the track Newendam by Human Space Machine, which with its cathy acid line is currently one of his favorites and which he found in the crates of Remoto Records the day before the set was recorded.
