SPILLMAN TAPE DROPPING AUG. 9th 2025 BE READY

2 years ago today, August 9th 2023, I ate on too many caps of the funny fungi and fell out of my 2nd story apartment. I suffered a traumatic brain injury, this had me incapacitated for about a month, with much longer to wait until I felt like myself again. I had lost all of the skills I had been practicing over the last 4+ years and most of my hope. It was a long time before I started to have any desires to do much of anything that wasn't self deprecating. 

One sleepless night, I got the wild thought that I could probably be a rapper if I tried hard enough. I stayed up countless nights writing bars, reciting in the mirror, erasing the whole page and getting frustrated, and doing it all again the next night. I made my first few songs with a producer guy in his cozy apartment above a Coffee shop. They were alright, but I never felt like i was able to individually stretch out my creative wings. Inevitably I ended up ghosting him and felt too awkward about the situation to ever reach out. (rude I know)

I decided to start record songs on my own in my Mother's basement with my Xbox headset, until i was graciously gifted a stand alone mic. I got to work Immediately writing every day and doing everything I could to stay in the flow state. I would experiment with different styles and sounds, flows and topic matter.  

This mixtape is a celebration of the change and progress I've made in the past 2 years, not just as musician but in my overall well-being. Many of the beats were made by LewRayy himself, others free from youtube. Either way, here is my very first musical project. 2025 Recordings only.
 I hope you enjoy.
