Italy’s Fedele reveals the remix edition of his 2024 album ‘Depth of Being’ on his Obscura Music, releasing 31st October 2025, and featuring Shubostar, Avision, Dukwa, Ae:ther, Works Of Intent, SEQU3L, Matteea, and the remix contest winner Casteh.
South Korea’s Shubostar follows with her signature cosmic energy, flipping the track into fizzing leads, sugar-sweet synth magic, and snappy drums that light up the floor. Avision then showcases his space-tech sound on ‘Your Eyes’, layering cyborg vocals and glistening arps over textured basslines in trademark futuristic style. Dukwa then brings a Garage-House spin to ‘Tension Builder’, complete with filtered R&B hooks, slamming drums, and pixel-thin pads before Rome’s Ae:ther dives into darker territory with a broody remix of ‘Tangent’, where menacing loops break into flashes of light. Closing out, UK talent Works Of Intent delivers ‘There’s Only One’ with piano chords and pained, introspective vocals, crafting a groove that’s both insular and indelible.
Fedele has carved out a singular sound that fuses melodic depth with driving club power. As co-founder of Agents Of Time, he toured the world and released on labels like Mute and Afterlife before launching his own Obscura Music in 2017. Now firmly established as a solo artist, he continues to push at the boundaries of techno with a forward-thinking approach that bridges the cerebral and the physical.

MMYYLO presents a new chapter with Toxic Sludge, released on Obscura Music. The EP moves through the shadows of electronic music and indie dance, where tension blurs into a strange kind of beauty.

The opening track, Toxic Sludge, sets the tone with a hypnotic rhythm and distorted bassline that feels unstable yet strangely magnetic. Acid Teeth follows with sharper edges, a metallic groove twisting around broken synth lines and fractured percussion. Time To Disappear closes the EP, drifting into a more emotional space, dissolving rhythm into atmosphere.

There’s something deliberately imperfect in MMYYLO’s sound, a mix of grit, pulse, and emotion that sits between the mechanical and the human. Toxic Sludge doesn’t try to be clean or comfortable. It’s an invitation to stay inside the noise a little longer and to find movement in the mess.

Fedele first discovered the original version of ‘Burn Like Fire’ on Xx Isis xX’s Facebook page. It’s a deeply personal, self-produced synth-pop track - which Isis had posted on the internet to see how people would react. The song struck a chord with Fedele, inspiring him to ask her if he could remix and release it on his label. She agreed and he proceeded to give it his signature chugging electro treatment, turning it into a euphoric club weapon.

PREMIERE: Fedele feat. Lvdovica — Waiting For The Night (Radio Slave Remix) [Obscura Music]

Ahrpe Records co-founder Amandra navigates a unique space between droning ambience and polyrhythmic funk on ‘Dame De Bahia’, his first release to emerge on Italian imprint Obscura. This is the French, Warsaw-based producer’s second album and follows a string of acclaimed EPs on Ahrpe, Semantica Tikita and Silent Season.

Complex patterns are woven through sustained tone clusters to foster an unlimited sense of energy and focus. Radiant synths glisten over live percussive loops whilst infinite pads wander the boundaries of light and dark.

Amandra uses minimalist techniques to build tranquil sonic spaces that evolve on their own accord, making way for carefully mapped out rhythmic cycles. The result is an immersive listening experience replete with subtle details, but never cluttered.

Italian duo Hiver present the Spiritual Machines EP, their debut on Obscura due 9th March.
‘Inverted Scale’ brandishes a hypnotic synth lead that swirls into a formidable energy. Title track is a meditative ambient cut immersed in deep waters, whilst ‘Glass Effect’ exposes a similar form with radiant sonic properties.
On the B side, Orbe turns the title track into a low slung basement workout, whilst Crossing Avenue’s rework of ‘RJ45’ channels psytrance and rave sentiments.
For digital release, two further tracks feature. ‘RJ45’ is a dubby, zoned out roller, followed by ‘Zwicky’, a euphoric trance crescendo on vintage synths.

Agents Of Time are proud to present ‘Ordinary Cosmic Dance’, the new EP on their own Obscura imprint. Over three tracks the Bari based trio brandish hypnotic, looping melodies in techno structures with subtle trance references. It arrives a year after the birth of the label, which has since issued music by Hiver, Amandra and The Hacker amongst others.

‘Ordinary Chaos’ builds low end frequencies juxtaposed with a stripped back melodic lead and staccato bass. ‘Cosmic Frequencies’ revolves around a syncopated synth line that swells its way through mesmeric percussion and entrancing pads. ‘Dance Impulse’ takes fragments of dub techno and remoulds them into a glitchy dancefloor workout.

Mathew Jonson and Agents Of Time take their on-stage collaboration into the studio for a new EP on Obscura, ‘Repeating Pattern, Numbers and Letters’.
Italian trio Agents Of Time realise a longtime dream with the eighth release on their Obscura label. Mathew Jonson’s singular productions and improvisational performance style has had a huge influence over them since the beginning of their career, so much so that their name Agents Of Time is taken from a 2010, Mathew Jonson album title. Their shared love for jamming and aligned musical visions led to a joint performance in 2017 (Agents Of Time played live with Jonson’s band Cobblestone Jazz) and now it lands on record.
The magic happened in Jonson’s spaceship of a studio in Berlin. Press play on opener ‘Repeating Patterns, Numbers and Letters’, which features the infectious vocals of Jonson’s wife Isis, and the spirited vibe of those sessions comes alive. The beats are organic, the melodies warm and colourful. Jonson’s inimitable splashes of funk and the Agents’ fluid basslines continue on the B-side with the kaleidoscopic breakdowns of ‘IG00156’. The digital only, final track ‘Dancing In The Darkness’ is another extended trip through the four artists’ rich world of sound, rounding off this inimitable record with striking musicianship.
‘Repeating Pattern, Numbers and Letters’ is out on March 29. Ahead of the release, Mathew Jonson and Agents Of Time play live together at Rex Club, Paris, on March 8th.
