Through the city of Taubaté in the Paraíba Valley, São Paulo, begins in 1996, the great journey of OBSCURE VALLEY horde in order to perform an epic sound of a distant past when the great battles were perpetuated by brave warriors defended with blood, honor and glory elderly manipulating their beliefs of Christianity. Rooted in great progressive metal bands of the 70s, 80s and also in the good old traditional heavy metal, the horde trying to put together their own compositions with the music of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, thus forming a unique musical style. In Taubaté, São Paulo, 1996 OBSCURE VALLEY began the journey, with great influence of the progressive metal bands of the 70s, 80s and medieval music. Having a unique musical style, the band started with the following members: DANIEL CARVALHO - drums, MARCOS PAGAN SPIRIT - vocals and keyboards, FABRÍCIO KAITHANO - Guitar and ALEX CONCEIÇÃO - bass (his participation was just at the first show of the band).
The other three members went together for about 18 years.

The band recorded the following work:
_ Epic Medieval Metal 1999 (demo test)
_ The Beginning 2005 (demo official test)
_ ARACÊ 2010 (Independent Official Album)

In 2014, there was an internal makeover: drummer Daniel Carvalho and guitarist Fabricio Kaithano had left the band to pursue other musical path and the founder leader of OBSCURE VALLEY, MARCOS PAGAN SPIRIT continued the journey by himself to the present day.

Currently OBSCURE VALLEY undergoes significant changes in their musical style with compositions aimed at Symphonic Pagan Dark Doom Metal, looking to spend a gloomy and introspective mood.
