this track is a poignant reminder of being so close to the still on-going war scenes and the harsh realities that people in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict are still facing on a daily basis.

my friend from Lviv send me the recording of those flight alarm sirens in 2022. it became a constant presence sound that our friends in the Ukraine still have to endure.

i felt the idea of using the art of music to morph this recording into this track, to use it as a tool to raise awareness about the importance of ENDING ALL WARS everywhere immediately.

art has a unique ability to transcend boundaries and reach people on an emotional level. it can help convey the human toll of conflicts and inspire empathy and action. by creating a track that incorporates the sounds of sirens and captures the emotions of those affected by war, it effectively draws attention to the urgent need for peace.

plus addressing that it all starts and ends with the "war in our heads" is also crucial. often, the internal conflicts, biases, and prejudices we hold can contribute to external conflicts. promoting inner peace, understanding, and compassion can have a ripple effect that extends to the broader world.

remember that art and music have historically played a role in social movements and advocacy, helping to shape public opinion and catalyze change. by creating a piece that resonates with people's emotions and experiences, it contributes to the dialogue surrounding global issues like war and the importance of finding peaceful solutions.

ultimately, the goal of ending wars is a complex and multifaceted challenge, but raising awareness and fostering a collective sense of responsibility for peace is a meaningful step forward. 

ask urself:
what things are you feeding in the shadow?
what will you do when the drums of war pound in your ears?

On September 8, a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck central Morocco, causing significant human casualties, destroying homes, and inflicting severe damage.

At the heart of this initiative is a collaboration with FEMENA, an organization founded by Sussan Tahmasebi, dedicated to supporting women human rights defenders (WHRDs) and feminist movements in the challenging socio-political landscape of the MENA and Asia regions. 

This collaboration seeks to make a positive impact through the universal language of music, amplifying the voices of those facing restrictions in Iran. Given the challenges and restrictions on direct financial support in Iran, this partnership aims to provide much-needed aid via FEMENA. 

In the spirit of unity and freedom: 
No woman is free until all woman are free. 
No human is free until all humans are free.

This compilation stands as a testament to artistic expression and a reminder that our freedom is intertwined.

Hybral's new EP "Affirmative Action" is a dystopian industrial techno masterpiece that shows evil in its most beautiful and intense form. Dark, cinematic and frightening sounds lead you on a ghost hunt of rhythmic darkness, drawn full of turning points and unforeseen, surreal events. The EP is the image of a total horror, a bizarre journey through eternal darkness, as if in a black hole that sucks in all light and the whereabouts of matter remain uncertain. You experience a reality in which the contents of your stomach are overturned by your internal organs and all existing laws are reversed. 

The mood of the track, "The Queer Turn", is reminiscent of cold and rough clefts in the mountains, towering rock formations in the shape of shark's teeth towards the gloomy sky. Chainsaw-like cries of rebellion and determined marching of queer communities echo in the valleys and shape the landscape for generations to come.
