As the deep bassline vibrates the dancefloor, it is easy to see how de Vries’s unique synth adds thickness to the pulsating melody. After listening to de Vries’s latest single, it was only right that he was honored with closing Tomorrowland Weekend 3’s Core Stage with Konstantin Sibold.

Landing in May and supported by a wide range of electronic music trendsetters, the double a-side release found the Beirut resident crafting two tracks rich in spirit and allusion. Also gaining considerable playtime amongst the world’s elite DJs this year has been ASTRØ’s take on ‘Leave the World Behind’ by Swedish House Mafia. Released in 2009 and featuring the vocals of Canadian singer Deborah Cox, the recognizable classic would go on to reach No. 40 in the US Dance charts. When the pair heard The Weeknd's blockbuster hit 'Nothing Is Lost' they soon realised the potential a remix could have. Before they knew it, the duo had produced a version that would go on to wreak havoc in their DJ sets. As is often the case with distinctive renditions of popular tracks, it didn't take long before their remix would become somewhat of a secret weapon. The pair would constantly get asked about the track and when it would see the light of day.
