UK-based producer Tommy Farrow remixes Grum and Sarah Appel’s ‘Come Alive’.

One of dance music’s brightest upcoming talents, Tommy Farrow counts Sam Divine, Jess Bays and Diplo amongst his fans, and recently supported Hot Since 82 at Manchester’s Warehouse Project. He’s since released on Stress Records, Shall Not Fade and Armada Electronic Elements, and recently signed to Sony Publishing. Farrow’s releases tread the line between breakbeat and trance, and he expertly combines the two with his ‘Come Alive’ remix. 

‘Come Alive’ was originally released on Grum's latest studio album 'Unreality' in June 2022. ‘Unreality’ is his most reflective work to date, putting human connection in the digital age under the microscope. A story in two halves, the album is introspective, ideas-driven and song-heavy, holding a mirror to Graeme’s own emotional journey over the last two years.

Tommy Farrow says: “I wanted this remix to be a big room club record with a driving bassline and a bright trance-like lead - Sarah's vocals in particular were amazing to work with. I’m so excited to release this remix with Anjuna, they have an amazing following and the label is home to some of my favourite artists. I’m also a massive fan of Grum’s work, so I’m really excited to get this one out!” 

Grum says: “It feels good to have one of the most promising new faces in prog remix one of my personal favourite tracks. Tommy is rapidly becoming known for bringing his nu-breed style to everything he touches, whether that’s an extended DJ set or a cutting edge remix. This reworking weaves Sarah Appel’s vocals into an atmospheric groove for 2022's darker dance floors."

About the release
Let's set the scene. An explorer on a mission. A new frontier and a journey riddled with perils. Adventure. Danger. Power. Discovery. Peace. Arude's EP "Echoes of the past" really embodies that feeling of exploration, of wanting to master new worlds. The EP takes you on a trip in your own mind in three different stages.
"Perigree" is for when the explorer has embarked on the shores of the new world and claimed it. It's an interesting mix of joy and passion for finding something new and shiny, while at the same time signalling that any new discovery is bound to come with a certain set of conditions. You can't choose what you find.
