It is here that the enlightened artist goes
To these dark, echoing caverns,
To mine, like the dwarves of Erebor,
Boons already dreamt into being,
Buried in a golden seam of ore. 
They ferry their treasures along the Alph, 
And then finally out into this bright world of day,
Their cargo unloads itself by crystal telegraph
If they’ve been careful not to spill a single
Drop along the way...

From this dimension of the Multiverse
This Underworld

They smelt the ore with the heat of their passion 
Into masterpieces of paintings, poetry and song,
They are humbled with gratitude as they fashion
These healing gifts from another realm,
A place that can cause no wrong. 

So this is the real Underworld, I hope you can see 
The source of all great art born from natural alchemy.

The Last One Into Heaven

In the quiet night, lights turned down low,
Restlessly I lie, thoughts in an endless flow.
Flickering and leaping, in my mind they dance,
Appearing for mere moments, vanishing by chance.

The white noise whispers, a constant, distant hum,
Imaginations deepen, from where do they come?
Slumber evades me, its grip too weak, too slight,
In the still of darkness, I yearn for sleep's embrace tight.

But it's a struggle, a silent battle within,
Against the illusions, a fight I cannot win.
Reluctantly, I yield, the light switch I turn,
Dispelling shadows, for peace I yearn.

Sitting on my bed, a lone figure in the glow,
Listening to the rain, tapping gently at my window.
Each drop a melody, a symphony in the night,
A soothing lullaby, until morning's first light.
