We are focusing this year on showcasing artists from countries that we have not been able to reach so far with our initiative. This is why we will be doing features of artists from specific countries and regions for 2025, as well our regular yearly themes.

In this dynamic follow-up to their 'Do You Even Acid?' compilation launched in 2020, queer-led Pacific Northwest label OBSKUR serves up a high-powered sampler of acid-laced tracks that embody the diversity of 2024's underground scene.

It kicks off with Seattle-based DJ/producer Mirin Doja's 'Golden,' remixed by LA dynamo Maude Vôs, a dreamy, downtempo bass-heavy vibe with crystalline trance elements. AWood's energetic 'Orbit' squeezes together a pulsing beat and hyperactive bassline with glowy synth pads, while 'Rave Therapy' by Delusional Records co-founder Marie Nyx cures what ails with classic four to the floor united with high-energy rave synths. Hammering kicks and trippy basslines pervade LA's CRTR's psytrance-infused workout 'Back Up,' followed by 'Eat That' by Chicago founder and co-head of Dark Heaven, Vorp, which takes us on a shadowy, complex acid journey dripping with bass and breaks.

Next up is Calgary DJ Byron Ferrari's 'Sunnyslope,' moody, raw and melodic with an irresistible 303 groove. International powerhouse Ani Klang's collaboration with NYC creative Senaida on 'Mutual Destruction' is a take-no-prisoners banger full of breakneck hard edged acid. The collection closes with Sanctum's introspective 'The Craft,' which pulls together a driving hypnotic bass groove and subtle psychedelic atmospheres.

Annie Lew, originally from the coast of New England, has made an imprint for herself blending elements of groovy rhythms and hard bass lines to form a distinctive sound. Exposed to the underground scene first in while she resided in Europe, Annie has draw influence from the cities she’s performed in and the local scenes she’s experienced Berlin, Kyiv, and Rome. Relocating to Boston in 2022, she’s become part of INFRA’s resident roster and has been developing her sound ever since. Her electric energy behind the decks and the undeniable connections she makes with audiences combine to form her standout musical personality. Annie found herself drawn to techno from the power and intensity it creates within a crowd. She quickly made a name for herself as an up and coming artist by showcasing at multiple clubs throughout Boston and New York, and playing her second Boiler Room this past August.

Mos serves bass lines that will pull you by a string. Hailing from New York and currently residing in Berlin, Mos was first inspired to create techno music while in Kyiv, Ukraine, and has since played across Europe. In 2022, he began his career in Rome, IT, playing with “Resistance Is Techno” at Rashomon Club. 

On the dance floor, Mos creates a nuance of Techno using hypnotic melodies and melancholic breakdowns. First laying hands on turntables in middle school, he gains inspiration from his upbringing in New York and the community around him. Mos’s energy for electronic music creates an environment where passion can be expressed loudly.

DJ NASTYA NVRSLP is a Montreal-based electronic music artist who describes her sound as a dynamic fusion of raw techno, groovy rhythms, and acid vibes, all laced with nostalgic 90s beats. Her sets are a hypnotic journey, evolving with each performance, while always staying true to her techno roots. Known for her ability to craft a distinct atmosphere, Nastya Nvrslp has quickly gained a following, playing in some of the most respected underground venues across Canada and Europe.

In 2022, Nastya made the brave decision to leave Ukraine and start a new chapter in Canada. Montreal became her refuge, offering both safety and a rich mix of musical influences that would soon shape her artistic path. She brought her experience from the Ukrainian techno scene with her, and it wasn’t long before the local scene embraced her unique sound.

Reinventing herself as DJ Nastya Nvrslp, her unique blend of raw techno, groovy beats, and acid vibes resonated with audiences, earning her spots at raves across Canada, including Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal. Her rising fame also extended to Europe, where she played in iconic cities like Berlin, Krakow, and Warsaw, while continuing to stay connected to her roots with performances in Ukraine.

In 2024, she became involved in organizing a series of warehouse parties called Mutualite, drawing inspiration from her Ukrainian heritage and the vibrant local techno scene.

Her initial releases quickly garnered recognition, leading to increased attention and international bookings. As her name continues to grow, she’s been showcasing her wide range of sounds in clubs across North America and Europe, always delivering performances full of emotion and raw energy.

Sirens is a core member of OIL Soundsystem and the driving force behind TURMOIL, actively shaping the club scenes in Shenzhen and Shanghai. Baby Diwata (meaning “Fairy” in Filipino) is a Hong Kong based DJ, model, and creative. Her genre-fluid selections are tender yet unrelenting - an unorthodox mix of Deconstructed Club, Hardcore, Baile Funk, and Hyperpop sad girl edits. 

She fuses soft and melancholic melodies with distorted and heavy hitting bass lines to nurture a soundscape that taps into the deepest burrows of her queer and feminine identity.   Tying together her love for experimental sound and yearning to create safe spaces, she co-founded PANIC LIBRARY: an art/rave project focused on experimental and deconstructed club music, with a goal of diversifying HK's electronic music scene by platforming burgeoning women & queer artists in the city.

Nicole Bordali is a multi-genre artist from Levittown, Puerto Rico. Since 2020 she's been mixing an atmospheric rock sound with dark melodies and poetic lyrics exploring heartbreak, desire, and the space between the intimate and the unreachable. Inspired by both the reggaetón and electronic music on the island as much as its rock and post-punk, Bordali put out EP 1 in 2021 and is currently writing and working on her debut album. 

Outside of rock, Bordali is deeply enmeshed in the Puertorican club scene as a DJ and event producer. Playing with darker electronic sounds —experimental techno, industrial, tech house, glitch noise, and deconstructed reggeatón— in offbeat venues like warehouses, theaters, and churches, she’s collaborated with Y2K Obsession, Isla del Terror and Ruido Femme.

Andrea Ariana is a Puerto Rican music selector based between San Juan and Madrid. With a diverse mix of techno, house, and everything in between, from minimal breakbeats and electro to acid house and minimal tech, AA found herself drawn early on to alternative and unconventional sounds.
She’s been playing for the past five years, with appearances at major events like SXM and Corona Sunsets, and at high-profile venues including Fifty Eight, La Marqueta, La Factoría, and even the Luis Muñoz Marín Airport.

Through years of travel to national and international music hubs, she has absorbed each city’s sonic identity, shaping both her perspective and sound. Her underground sets have steadily gained traction in the local club scene, leading her to share stages with heavyweights such as Traumer, Bob Moses, Raresh, Sonja Moonear, Priku, Janeret, Lee Burridge, Dennis Cruz, Dubfire, among others.

With a background in psychology, Andrea brings a unique sensitivity to her sets, focusing on emotional connection and subtle storytelling. She moves fluidly across settings, from big-room clubs and outdoor stages to intimate afterhours, and has collaborated with collectives such as Musikone, Y2K Obsession and Groove & Flavor. Andrea is currently working on her first project as a music producer, developing a sound that reflects her evolution as both a selector and artist.

LIONESSA is an Egyptian-Canadian DJ based in so-called Vancouver. Her sets draw from a global upbringing in Egypt and across the Middle East, shaped by years in the West Coast rave scene. She blends Egyptian percussion as well as regional rhythms with underground global sounds that emerge from street culture and resist formal categorization.

Her work bridges cultural expression with global bass movements, delivering high-intensity sets that subvert traditional Middle Eastern/North African sound expectations while pushing the boundaries of the dancefloor.

She is the co-founder of Egyptian Street Meat, an all Egyptian artist collective, and a curator focused on building intentional, femme centric club spaces in Vancouver and her hometown Cairo. She also hosts Radio LABWA, a residency on Bside Radio spotlighting pioneering SWANA producers and highlighting the diversity of music from the region’s underground and diasporic scenes.


"Vancouver" is on the unceded territories of xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations. As an immigrant, LIONESSA acknowledges her position as an uninvited settler on these lands.

USHKA is a Sri Lankan-born, Thailand-raised, Brooklyn-based deejay & multidisciplinary artist traversing genres across global electronic club & bass music. She blends a wide range of diasporic club music taking the club-goer on a journey through global club sounds. She's been featured on NTS Radio, The Lot, Boiler Room, The Fader, HBO, and more. She has performed at institutions such as Brooklyn Museum, Lincoln Center, MoMA PS1, the American Museum of Natural History, the Rubin Museum, The Shed, Toronto's Harbourfront Centre, and Montreal's Fondation Phi. Ushka has been a staple in NYC's nightlife for a decade, having run the iBomba party in Brooklyn for six years and djing parties such as Papi Juice, Gush, Ragga, Bubble-T, Moonshine, Laylit, No Nazar, Discostan, and more. Ushka currently co-runs a queer femme party called Caótica with DJ Riobamba. When she’s not performing, Ushka is known for her activism and organizing on social justice issues such as immigrant & refugee rights and climate justice.

"This mix features 10 artists (myself included) of either Sinhala, Tamil, or Burgher ethnic descent who trace their roots to the island known as Sri Lanka. I start and end the mix with classical Sri Lankan drums often used in “peraheras,” which is a Sinhala Buddhist festival that happens in Kandy, Sri Lanka close to my mother’s hometown with adorned elephants, dancers, and drummers. I weaved Sinhala Kandyan drums, Carnatic arrangements, tabla, Indian ragas  into a more experimental exploration of electronic music including drum n bass, UKG, pop, techno, Tamil & Telegu remixes, and more. Diaspora island artists featured on the mix include M.I.A., Goldtooth, Elsz, Surusinghe, Perera Elsewhere, Priya Ragu, IYRE (who still lives in Sri Lanka), Krithi (whose grandmother is Indian Tamil x Sri Lankan), myself (who grew up between Sri Lanka and Thailand). Our island endured a 30-year civil war with little resolve, with minority communities including Tamil and Muslim islanders bearing the brunt of divisive nationalism on the part of a Sinhala Buddhist nationalist government. I am very conscious of these dynamics, the trauma of folks on the island and in the diaspora, and the long journey to reconciliation and healing. Through music, we hopefully do our small part in weaving stories of solidarity amongst Lanka’s communities whether they live on the island or in diaspora. "

Uman Therma is a DJ and electronic music producer based in Seoul, also known as one half of the leftfield ambient duo Salamanda.  

Drawing from ambient and experimental electronics, she molds sound not into statements, but into atmospheres — quiet, resonant, and alive.  

Once known for navigating breakneck BPMs and unruly rhythms, she now slows the pace; tracing delicate textures in the dark, letting sound flicker like light through fractured surfaces.

Uman Therma threads together hazy ambient washes, glistening field-recording textures, and spiritual jazz improvisations with fractured club rhythms and deconstructed beats. Voices slip in like echoes, sometimes spectral, sometimes commanding, while synths ripple between warmth and dissonance. The mix drifts from intimate, almost meditative passages into moments of jagged percussion and heavy low-end, always carrying a sense of movement through shifting moods. It feels like water, light, and distortion layered together; a weave of serenity and tension that never settles fully into either.

7ip7o3 (AKA Tiptoe) has been a fixture in Korea’s underground scene for nearly a decade as a DJ, and in recent years has also begun to establish her name as a producer. Since 2023, she has held a residency on Rinse FM, steadily showcasing her distinctive sound to a global audience.

She recently performed at two of Europe’s most renowned festivals in the summer of 2025, ‘Glastonbury Festival’ in the UK and ‘Fête de la Musique’ in France, while also collaborating with labels and artists from around the world. These experiences have solidified her reputation not only as a skilled DJ but also as a producer with a unique sonic identity.

Her work is defined by a tension between unsettling, confrontational sounds and a drive to make people move. Guided by this vision, and with meticulous attention to detail, 7ip7o3 consistently delivers high quality productions that reflect her artistry.

Del4raa (Delara Toyuri) is an Iranian born musician, producer, and DJ. Classically trained as a pianist from the age of four, she has developed a distinctive sound that fuses deep, hypnotic techno with ambient experimentation, cinematic piano, and Persian influences.

Her debut EP Zhian (Apranik Records, 2025) is a powerful artistic statemen. an exploration of exile, resilience, and defiance that establishes her voice on the global stage.

Alongside her solo work, Del4raa is one half of Antechamber, her duo with @doci.icod, where the pair channel the raw spirit of 90s techno through driving rhythms, analog textures, and immersive atmospheres.

For Del4raa, music is where she feels most herself and through it, she aspires to be the voice of Iranian women.

electronic music inspired her to find a way to share her sounds with people.
Through the atmosphere she creates with her music, she aims to showcase different

music primarily features organic sounds inspired by nature, combined with
energetic rhythms.

Kaguya wants to continue making music and grow more creative every day, exploring new ideas for her sound. She hopes to travel to different places to gain inspiration from her

Sistersun brings warm, intentional energy to every set, celebrating the global underground and honoring producers who blend electronic music with tradition, language, and identity. Rooted in a deep love for dance, culture, and community, her sound is a soulful journey—inviting connection, expression, and the kind of movement that feels like home.

“This mix is especially close to my heart. I wanted to make sure it reflected where I come from, featuring Iranian producers and incorporating our language throughout. 

"Mehr" means fog. This was written and produced by my cousin Porsaan, who I'm so honored to be able to share his sound as a part of this project too. Music cafes, alternative sounds and places to dance are still widely underground in Iran. Yet, people still gather, make music, and dance even with the constant threat of arrest. To me - dance and music is then the ultimate freedom of expression, and resistance. Communing together is liberation.

The mix closes with a true legend of traditional Persian music, Homayoun Shajarian, singing with Nosrat Khan. This particular track, "Flame" (translated to English from the word Sholevar). Musically, this track is quite profound because it is the meeting of two distinct classic music structures: the Indian Raga and the Persian Dastagh. These music systems are over 2000 years old.

The brief mentioned that any genre was welcome, so I felt the desire to include music that spans far and wide from various corners of sound and artistry that inspires me.

 "Koobideh" by Zadeh has been such a staple in my library, this time I blended in a grandmother very faintly singing a traditional lullaby. Just a small moment and example of how fun this opportunity was to showcase all kinds of Iranain voices sprinkled throughout.

Its interesting how the tracklist ended up coming together. The titles of these tracks alone feel like a poetic retelling that symbolizes the feelings of being from a complicated peoples and country. The mix itself took me on a journey from ambient reflection soundscapes to dub, drum work and breaks, kinetic techno, melodic and minimal energy.

EVE+POL is the newest electronic duo rising out of Bucharest’s underground, exploding onto the scene in 2024. Fronted by Evelina (MD), a hypnotic vocalist with sharp stage presence, and Paul Ilea (RO), a powerhouse producer in the scene, the duo delivers high-voltage live electronics performances that’s anything but ordinary.  Each set is created live, using drum machines, modular synths, and raw vocals. It’s a real-time exchange between human and machine, a constantly shifting soundscape where improvisation is at the core.

In 2025 they performed at Berlin’s Superbooth Afterparty hosted by Teenage Engineering, opened for DIE ANTWOORD with a special live set, and recently played Electric Castle on the Booha Stage, right before Yousuke Yukimatsu, to a packed and energetic crowd. They have also performed at a Supersanity community rave in Bucharest, played a live rooftop concert in Helsinki, and appeared at several festivals, continuing to expand their live presence and sonic imprint. 

Think raw analog textures, improvisation, and a sound that refuses to sit still, EVE+POL isn’t here to play it safe. Their first single “Promise” (alongside an exclusive music video merging human vision with AI) is a raw fusion of rock, dub, and analog hard techno, with vocals symbolizing the metamorphosis from human to machine, later reimagined in a drum and bass remix. Their follow-up single “LIKE THAT,” is a high-energy track with punchy vocals that hit #1 on Radio Guerrilla Romania, sparked attention from famous Romanian DJs, and was featured on Virgin Radio Romania in a special night set.

EVE+POL has captured the attention of music gear brands like Teenage Engineering, Nothing, Meters Music, and Stylophone, who actively support their mission to expand the reach of LIVE electronic music and performance gear. Their innovative approach has also drawn recognition from major names like KiNK (Best Electronic Act) also Jesus Molina and more industry professionals, so whether it's techno wizards or jazz prodigies, their feedback comes from every corner of the music universe.

DJ dood is a Vancouver based DJ and promoter with a taste for high energy, groove driven sets. Moving fluidly between house, progressive house and techno, she blends cheeky vocals with rolling basslines, balancing a love for timeless dancefloor moments with a forward looking approach that keeps things unpredictable. She’s shared the bill with artists like Moxie, Prosumer, Cinthie, DJ Boring, and Brawther, and in recent years has launched two event series: dood’s dancefloor, spotlighting queer and femme talent, and Full House alongside Max Ulis, showcasing both local and international acts. 

Beyond the booth, she’s the Program Manager for Public Disco, helping turn city spaces into open air dancefloors. DJ MĂ-TA is a Romanian DJ and producer whose entire project started as a joke, and then accidentally became one of the most recognisable sonic signatures in the new wave of Romanian electronic music. What began as playful provocation turned into a fully formed artistic identity built on bold blends, cultural commentary, and a refusal to fit into anyone’s expectations.
Her sound stitches together Balkan grooves, techno, trance, and manele, a genre many consider “controversial,” but she treats it as a core part of her artist identity. After nearly a decade in London, her style also carries the imprint of the UK’s chaotic, genre-fluid scene, making her mixes unpredictable in the best way. Jumping from manele to hard techno, to Balkan folk or drum & bass feels effortless in her hands.

Her mission is simple: connect Romania’s Balkan soundscape with the wider global club culture and tear down the elitism that often divides them. On stage, she delivers high-energy, tongue-in-cheek sets that challenge purists while keeping dancefloors fully engaged. Off stage, she uses her platform to push for a more progressive, inclusive cultural space, especially for women, minorities and queer people.

Collaboration sits at the heart of her work. She frequently teams up with DJs, producers, and artists across different collectives, aiming to dissolve the rigid territoriality of the Romanian scene and encourage a more united community.

Now a familiar face in Romania’s circuit, DJ MĂ-TA has played major festivals including UNTOLD, Electric Castle, and Neversea, as well as shows in Moldova and France. She continues to expand her reach with a sound that’s provocative, unapologetic, and unmistakably her own.

Building on several contributions to Bristol's forward thinking label Limbo Tapes and appearances at festivals across North America including Mutek, Bass Coast and Active Passive, Birthname (fka Caro) continues to distill their loop-oriented style of storytelling. They relate to music as both a mirror and a bridge. Merging intimate, inner-life with current historical, topological and geopolitical landscapes. Like any spiritual practice, it is an exercise in attention.

On the air regularly since 2018, Birthname has hosted and welcomed many guests through radio shows on CJLY (Nelson), B.Side Radio (Vancouver) and online through Noods Radio (Bristol). Their new monthly called Fire Shelter, airs monthly on n.10as radio out of Montreal.

Spiral Dance, their most recent LP, was released in 2025 via Limbo Tapes.

Shaped by a Montreal upbringing and a lifelong obsession with musical deep-dives, DJ Hannah brings the soul of a crate-digger and the energy of a dancefloor alchemist to every performance. 

Since her club debut in 2017, she’s become a mainstay in Canada’s electronic music scene, with a presence that stretches from club settings to major festival stages like Bass Coast and Shambhala. Whether she’s behind the decks at a party or on-air during her CJSW radio show, Neon Window, Hannah creates sonic experiences that are both intimate and expansive. With a sound as bold and unapologetic as her vision, Miss Kleio is a force.
Her soundscapes are a masterclass in tension and release, weaving together driving, hypnotic polyrhythms and chest-pounding beats that command the dancefloor. Drawing from the raw energy of vintage rave culture and the gritty soul of Detroit techno, Miss Kleio’s signature Hypnotic hardgroove sound is a time machine to the underground’s golden era, yet firmly rooted in the now.

A sought-after selector, Miss Kleio has shared stages with heavyweights like Patrick Mason, Sama Abdulhadi, Skin on Skin, leaving her mark on iconic events such as Electric Island, Spoiler Room and Charvari Detroit.

But Miss Kleio’s impact extends beyond the DJ booth. As a co-founder of TECHNOIR Collective, she is at the forefront of a movement to amplify queer DJs of color and marginalized voices in electronic music. 

In September 2024, Miss Kleio unveiled her latest project, BODYCLOCK, a weekly, queer and bipoc-centric electronic sanctuary at Toronto’s legendary Piston Bar. More than just a dance party, BODYCLOCK is a community-driven celebration of electronic music's unifying power and its black roots.
