Coming from the celebration of its 50th release with a stellar compilation including some of the most cutting-edge artists in the scene, AEON is ready again to conquer the market with a killer EP courtesy of the spanish producers Moo Moonster & Parissior.
Born Carlos Velez and Jesus Aparicio, Moo Moonster & Parissior have joined forces in a over one year long process to pay homage to their main musical influences: Cosmic, Italo and Electro. The result of these endless sessions is enclosed into Intergalactive Adventure EP, their first collaborative studio work.
This package is a perfect combination of 2 different visions united by a common denominator: Arpeggios.
“Voices” open up the EP with a view into futuristic techno sounds. With a textures which progressively increase more and more wrapped in a dark groove, the only result possible is a instant new classic which will last through the years.
Title track “Intergalactic Adventure” follows bringing you straight in orbit as the title suggest. A distinctive rhythm filled with space fx and dreamy sounds create the perfect atmosphere to drive you into your personal space travel.
Scottish hero Theo Kottis step up on remix duties with a clear idea: some banging drums, a rolling bassline and few elements from the original tune. With that in mind, his work resulted a handfully crafted hit for big dancefloors: you would not be surprised to hear it in places like Panoramabar or Circoloco’s Terrace.
Closing the package we have “The Eyes of Darkness”, a track where the duo raised the pace, being stronger and more energetic. Acidic touches and a distinctive guitar riff are doing the rest, without letting it loose the cosmic part that unites the whole package.
Once again with this EP the Berlin-based label made clear how they gained and deserved their position in the music industry.

Melómana is back with a new reference, and this time it is the turn of the Madrid dj and producer Jackwafaster, aka Manuel Cachero, who presents Carretera de El Saler. This album, starting with the beat itself, going through the high-hats and the percussive elements or the melodies, whether they are more or less dark, is a party for our neurons to agree on how to interpret all the gale of stimuli and respond, synapse here, synapse there, with movements and dances that are surprising even to ourselves, even though we have danced countless times.
In each track on Carretera de El Saler, his tracks firmly point to the common ground between synth-marked electronics, dark disco, dreamy post-rock, or Weatherall-style post-punk. In fact, seeing the risky work that we present here, we could also consider him as a medium, who mediates between the other parallel universes and ours in search of signals that we can turn into music to offer it to us from Melómana.

There's a progressive melodic element on 'Suicidal World' that feels almost new for a Damon Jee production. However, listen closely, and it's all still there: big drums, driving bass and uplifting energy that feels almost purging. The title might be suicidal by name, but it exudes a passion for life that should translate onto any dancefloor.

Argentinian artist Cali Burton makes his debut on Spanish powerhouse Espacio Cielo with his well-constructed "Soma", an EP in which he shows two of his facets: One with post-punk overtones standing out, as it can be seen in the track "Us"; and another through which he expresses his strongest Indie Dance influences, as you can notice in "No Fight No Way", a theme that counted with the magic touch of another interesting Argentinian producer, Cu da Curuxa, who contributed with some shards of synths & darkness. Label boss Parissior (SXDNS206) crowns the EP with a hard rock remix devoted to burning and bringing dance floors to pieces... when we are allowed to go back, of course.

Born in Bahia Blanca, Argentina, Cali was part of several musical projects such as Mamados, Chalalora, Serebrios, and Ruda, in a not-so-distant past. Established in Buenos Aires since 2004, he is co-founder of the acclaimed label Logia Records and is part of two electronic duos Warnes and Renuna (FREEDL028).

The bold version of “No Fight No Way” by master Parissior is the icing on the cake of an already powerful release. He seamlessly and skilfully brought together some of his cosmic and rock influences, and the result is a bouncing and belligerent piece. It’s brutal!

For their latest instalment, Sous Music turn to Spatial Awareness. A self-confessed geek with a penchant for 70’s sci-fi, the UK producer holds an equally eclectic taste when it comes to the music he makes. Soaking up inspiration via everything from dub to synthpop and plenty more in-between, it is no surprise that the resulting studio output regularly flips from acid to disco to techno to house and any combination that takes his fancy.
For this two-track release, Spatial Awareness is in full on futuristic soundscape mode. Kicking off with a fiercely funky slice of electro laden with emotive strings, the aptly titled ‘The Day That God Went Mad’ has a real standout quality, fully charged with the means to stop a mass of buzzed-up smiling ravers dead in their tracks. ‘Face Of Evil’ continues the breakbeats and strings motif with its robotic rhythms underpinning soaring chords, an array of juddering 8-bit bleeps and squeaks and the deepest and darkest of basslines. Proper head-in-the-speaker-stack, losing-your-mind-tackle!

Influenced initially by Jean Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream and Art of Noise, Endrik Schroeder discovered a passion for techno, electro and Italo Disco sounds.  After sereval techno releases for imprints  such as Interface records ( charted by Laurent Garnier  or Dave Clarke to name a few), Endrik returns with more Italo influences and just released a Brillant and strong  EP « Everyday of Your Life » on Zone Records,  the label of The Hacker.

Having a big collection of  music of the 70’s and 80’s Endrik listened one day to « Les Nuits sans Kim Wilde » an French Italo song of 1985 by Laurent Voulzy a famous french songwriter & singer  and thought about actualizing it with a modern touch and some new instruments to include it in his dj sets but keeping the original mood and work it with respect.

Et voilà !  An amazing Edit full of Italo Disco vibes ready to make people dance and travel back to this magical period . Expect the unexpected !

Berlin-based label AEON is celebrating its 50th release with a unique Compilation called ‘VERSUS’.  This EP features seven very special collaborations from cutting-edge artists such as Bawrut & Benjamin Fröhlich, Panthera Krause & Peter Invasion, Alex Niggemann & Speaking Minds, Kimshies & Futuristant, Darlyn Vlys & Amarcord, Biesmans & Jepe and Rina & Uriah Klapter. Label boss Alex Niggemann explains: “The idea was to get some of the core artists together, setting up collaborations that might would never have happened elsewhere and will forever stay as their first and exclusive work together.“ 

„Disco Tedesco“ is certainly a classic in the making. Alex Niggemann & Speaking Minds - two of the founding members of AEON - kick off with a very recognizable Disco vibe with their very first collaborating, reminding on the early hours of house music. A driving & funky bassline and its very recognizable hook, will put immediately a satisfying grin on your face, while making this tune stuck in your ears after the first listen.
Bawrut, who’s previously released on Life & Death and Permanent Vacation co-founder Benjamin Fröhlich bring a bit of a darker tune with subtle hints of breakbeat & acid to this EP, which is lightened up midway by a female vocal sample. The dark electro inspired sequencer bring you in a trance like state. „Kirmes“ is a track that will both perform well during peak time and afterhour sets.
Panthera Krause & Peter Invasion, who run the Leipzig based label Riotvan together, surprise with a breakbeat start of their first-ever collaboration as musicians… and that on AEON!
„Fiesta Hunuku“ has an industrial vibe, with sharp sounds and driving drum rhythm. Tension rises throughout and continues to build up this fusion of electro and Indie Dance, all leading up to an eccentric drop. 
„My Body Is Burning“ by the French duo Kimshies & mysterious Italian producer Futuristant instantly kicks off a club vibe. A female voice shouts: “My heart is aching…!“ Only to be joined by a dark vocoded voice later. It reminds us of an 80s science fiction movie and is surly the peak time bomb from this release. 
French DJ/Producer Darlyn Vlys & young Italian talent Amarcord created a modern sounding Proto-house banger, with a very recognizable melody and a female vocal throughout. With its groovy vocal stabs, long sweeping synths, and effected soundscape drums „ Talking Modern“ immediately feels „familiar“. 
Jepe, who recently released his debut EP on AEON and Biesmans, who’s part of the team for a while, bring a more melodic touch with their indie dance inspired tune „ Fashionably Late“. Lots of analogue synths build melodic layers to achieve a very danceable tune with an 80s reminiscent tone. 
The final collaboration of this EP comes from Rina & Uriah Klapter. Two talented musicians from the Tel Aviv scene. The track lives up to its name ‘Acid in 1986’, with its retro acid vibe, pumping „off-bassline“ and a male vocal sample to accompany this groovy after hour tune.
