My first time played at CDV, also first gig of my Summer Germany tour after 3 years no flying, very excited also a bit nervous, a very special music place where in Berlin influenced me so much from my first visit back in 12 years ago. An evening set which i will never forget, thank you Benjamin Fehr from Groove Noir and CDV for having me and it was my pleasure to played with the minimal house music legends and my dear friends who came for the support!

Ocean Lam has built and cultivated and driven her passion for music for over more than a decade, playing at many major festivals and underground clubs in Asia, Epizode, Wonderfruit, Intro, Equation and Clockenflap, Sonar HK and in Germany Melt and Feel Festival. She was tapped to represent Hong Kong at its first live edition of Boiler Room at Shi Fu Miz festival. Played in Berlin since 2010 and around Europe as her annual tour playing with many international artists and label nights. Curated line up at the first Sonar HK dome stage of local and international guests 

The uncontested regional opener for heavyweight names like Efdemin, Oskar Offermann, Nick Hoppner, Sammy Dee and many more…As an music director and co-founder of Social Room club for 6 years and brought lots of artists from Europe to her Hypnotic events in Hong Kong. Ocean is also a producer of her own music, with releases “Auditory Touch” EP on @moteurvillemusique (#Detroit) with Eduardo De La Calle, Jay Tripwire remixes, “ The Same Boat” EP with Fresh Funky S on Berlin Biotop Label, collaborated release with Mr Ho (Klasse Wrecks) on Underradar Label (Indonesia), HK Typhoon8 Records and her most recent release on WAPM Records

Minimal House, trippige Elemente und energiegeladener Breakbeat gepackt in eine atmosphärische Stimmung. 

Peaktime oder Closing? 

Wenn ich  zwischen Peak Time und Closing wählen müsste, würde ich definitiv das Closing Set bevorzugen.  Ich liebe die besondere Stimmung und intimere Atmosphäre einer Afterhour. 

Hefeweizen oder Sekt auf Eis? (w/wo%) 

Sekt auf Eis. 

Team Schabernack oder immer vorne links? 

Für mich gehört es zusammen, vorne links zu tanzen, während wir das Set feiern und unseren Spaß haben. 

Absolutes Gig-Highlight? 

Es fällt mir schwer, mein Gig-Highlight zu benennen, aber das emotionalste war wohl auf dem 3000Grad Festival in diesem Jahr. Nach einer Woche auf dem Acker und wenig Schlaf hat mich das Set auf dem Schiff Ahoi mit der perfekten Playtime, Stimmung und tollen Menschen und Freunden überwältigt.

Nach meinem ersten Kind war ich ca. 3 Jahre weg von der Musikszene und als ich wieder angefangen habe, weiss ich noch genau wie ich überall und von jedem über HS12 gehört habe. Und so habe ich dann auch viele von der HS12 Crew auf Partys kennengelernt und fand euch super.

Immaculate production from Madison Square Garden's Music Director, Raymond Castoldi. One of his amazing gems from his deep house releases from the 90s on his own label, X-Ray Records. This man was truly ahead of his time. I mean 1992?? Wild. His other 2 releases which were on this EP were remastered and released recently, which I'll put a link to. Both of which are even more sensational than this, fused with jazzy piano riffs and ambience.
