The budding Manchester rock trio, OCEANLESS, aim to make waves with their next release “Medication”; the song, having already received airplay on BBC Introducing Manchester, at the end of September, explores a new sonic identity mixing Pop-esque melodies, written and sang by frontman Will Mcgarrie, with huge modern percussion performed and written by drummer
George Sheasby. Guitar textures provide an element of sustained-reverb-sweetness, written and performed by James Tunstall (lead guitar) and Will Mcgarrie (rhythm). The lyrics of the song lend themselves to an undying desire to have what we cannot - in a ‘the grass is greener’ kind of way. Will describes the intentions of the words as ‘a vehicle for
escapism, to extract you from the mundanities of day-to-day living in an urban and pseudonatural
city environment.

Formed by George and Will, Oceanless has become synonymous with the Manchester music scene, championing the grassroots sector and forging their own path in the industry. Penned during their relocation to Manchester in 2018-2019, "Bad Habits" delves into the universal experience of grappling with personal vices and demons. Renowned producer Al Groves, known for his work with iconic acts such as Bring Me The Horizon, Arctic Monkeys, and The 1975, helmed the mixing and production of "Bad Habits" at The Motor Museum in Liverpool. Bad Habits

OCEANLESS, the Manchester based band of two, met in their early teens at school in their hometown near Birmingham and have worked on various projects in the music industry since. Their debut album combines influences of grunge, shoegaze, and electronic pop-rock. They have utilised their knowledge of the music industry to enable them to be 100% independent. They are now looking for support opportunities to grow their rapidly expanding audience.

In January 2023, Will Mcgarrie (singer and guitarist) and  George Sheasby (drummer), spent a week in the Welsh countryside writing the album, and recording demos.

February 2023 saw the band begin recording the singles for the album, alongside  producer Sean Mbaya, who remixed ‘Blue Moon Rising’ by Noel Gallagher, making it on to the UK No.1 album ‘Back The Way We Came’.

The band have since consistently released singles building up to their debut album release.
