As we all perceive music in our very own and individual way, we connect sounds and melodies with moods, feelings and memories. „Perpetual Tales“ narrates those infinite possibilities of stories being told by music. The chapters of this EP are written and interpreted by Theo Gramal as an invitation to dream with them, feel them, dance to them. May they be shaped by playing around with instruments or be inspirations from travels or collaborations - each pattern, baseline or melody has been a little adventure and eventually will be a new one for you, your ears and your soul.

I recorded these, using only the Roland T8 drum machine, outside as it got dark.
The first one I did at the beach in Crete (130 bpm) and the second one, a week later, in a park in Vienna (120bpm).
These spontaneous sessions are so much fun, specially at such beautiful places.

THE STORY
EX NIHILO (Latin. Out Of Nothing) Is the first thematic album of Oceanvs Orientalis; which tells 10 different stories of 10 breaking points of the Universal history. From the Planetary scale to the Human dimension. 
The story begins with the song of the Big Bang (EX NIHILO)and continues with focusing on the first formation of the Solar System (Birth of the Sun),
The Earth (THE EARTH SONG) and the story of Homo Sapiens (AQUATIC APE) and so on.
 
THE ALBUM
The album contains 10 original tracks. 
Recording of the album took 1 year of field recording and experimental audio synthesis. Each song of the album created for a specific dedicated event.

THE FILM
The Film created by 10 different artists under the creative direction of Elif Demirci aka Datafobik. In the first step each artist imagine and create each video separately then each other.
Afterwards it combined as one individual audio reacted visual experience.
Also for the 4th music video the song called “Plankton Planet”, we collaborate with the Plankton Chronicles: An art and science project based in Montreal, Canada. The video made by 3 minutes of unseen plankton footage recorded by Plankton

Chronicles.

Considering the current apocalyptic feel of the times, Oceanvs Orientalis’ EP “Gran Tribulacion” takes its name from the end of the world representation in Christian eschatology. Much like a slow-cooked stew, the EP consists of two duets, “Forlorn Hope” and “Gran Tribulacion”, formed by the many ideas, samples and loops Oceanvs Orientalis has been collecting and processing in the last 5 years, along with a new-comer Beachwalk and a cover of the timeless Andalusian folk song from 12th century “Lamma Bada Yatathanna”. “Gran Tribulacion” is an EP that you’ll enjoy listening to for many years to come.
