Hailing from Islington, North London, Strive emerges with his debut EP on FKK Records/ AlphA Music. Stemming from a long line of strong North London MC's, he sets himself aside from the generic indentikit formula of UK grime and rap artists. He leans toward a more majestic and sophisticated soundscape offering a unique perspective that represents a new breed of UK based rap artists. The musical influences on this project are informed not only from our native grime roots, but also by US hiphop and Jamaican styles like dub and dancehall.

With lyrical comparisons to the likes Kano, Skepta and Sway, Strive lives up to these claims and delivers a complex yet cohesive and confident performance throughout. Strive vividly communicates  the narrative of the trials, triumphs and longings of a young black artist from London striving to empower himself and others along his journey.

With production handled fully by his producer and long time collaborator SCHROFF (aka iLLU!/ NSE)- known for his powerfull lean trap sound and forward thinking ethos, this project is  their first brain child and serves as a perfect warm up for their full length project due out early next year.

Only Connect is a creative crime prevention charity, rooted in community.

Our vision is a connected society, where we all choose a crime free life.

We achieve impact in two ways. Firstly, we provide young people at risk and ex-offenders with membership of one of our unique clubs in central and west London. The clubs support members to support themselves, unlocking their potential through training, support and creative opportunities.

Secondly, we deliver creative crime prevention projects in the community, including prisons and schools, engaging at every point in the crime cycle in order to reduce offending. We see the people we work with as assets not liabilities, with a contribution to make to their families, communities and wider society.
