Recently Mari Frank with KUCI interviewed Deputy Michael Woodroof about the upcoming 3G's: Guide, Guard and Govern presentations occurring throughout the County beginning October 6th. The goal of the presentation is to provide parents with the tips and tools they need to communicate with their children, specifically about prescription drug abuse.

Deputy Woodroof, who has been with the Department for 11 years, is a School Resource Officer (SRO) in the city of Dana Point with his primary duty at Dana Hills High School

Mari Frank with KUCI recently interviewed Assistant Sheriff Don Barnes about drug and crime trends, and what we can do to keep ourselves and our families safe. 

Assistant Sheriff Barnes has been with the Department for 26 years and oversees the Administrative Services Command. This command provides support services necessary to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, and ensures facilities, computer systems, and communications equipment operate at maximum efficiency 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Divisions under Administrative Services include Communication and Technology, Financial/Administrative Services, Research and Development, and Support Services. In addition to his role with OCSD, Assistant Sheriff Barnes is also the Chairman of Orange County Crime Stoppers.

Mari Frank of KUCI recently interviewed Deputy Oates with the OCSD Regional Traffic Bureau.  The deputy, who has been with the department for 14 years, discussed the Traffic Bureau, the dangers of driving under the influence and what the public can do to help.
