Sunrise Generation

This mix is meant to be there for you when you are sad, and don't have someone to hold space for you. It's also there to help if you wanna feel sad, but you're too numb to put yourself there.
This mix was created in a very very sad time for me. Originally birthed as a breakup mix, this is the most time I have ever given to creating a vibe/mix, as it was the only solace for me during that time period. You'll notice it's more vocal than any mix you've ever heard from me. I've wanted to share this one for a while, and I finally got the gumption to do it.... almost a year after it was made. Making it, and listening to it, have helped me through some of my more challenging times. I hope it helps you too <3

Holding Space

The enchanting, Odyssean “Cage of Glass” is the third succulent taste of Maxfield’s upcoming EP The Malleable Mirage releasing on February 27th with VALE. The crisp, cutting mid-tempo tunes “Opaque” and “Chucklebup” each premiered on the Inspector Dubplate Youtube channel recently. But coming in at just under nine minutes, and missing the traditional whizzes, bops, and bright colors that entice bass music listeners, “Cage of Glass” is an enchanting electronic bass ballad that finds Maxfield again out on an artistic limb.
