Nina is a conceptual sound artist, using field and voice recordings, tapping and cracking rhythms in never-ending journeys, pre-apocalyptic fairy tales, and emotional topography of unique landscapes, like the archaeologist of the human soul. Her music is a narcotic journey into the noisy rites and industrial myths strongly inspired by nature.

 

Nina is recently working on reimagining Slovak folklore by redefining cultural narratives via a project called ANCESTRAL ARCHEOLOGY. She performed in national galleries in Amsterdam or Prague, Berlin clubs like ://about blank, Suicide Circus or Tresor or industrial spaces, silos and old factories. Nina is currently based in Berlin and performs under the names Nina Pixel or BLACK ACID.

Wszystko to układa w preapokaliptyczne bajki i emocjonalną topografię wyjątkowych krajobrazów, niczym archeolog ludzkiej duszy. Jej muzyka to narkotyczna podróż do hałaśliwych rytuałów i industrialnych mitów silnie inspirowanych naturą.
Nina pracuje ostatnio nad ponownym wyobrażeniem słowackiego folkloru poprzez redefinicję kulturowych narracji w ramach projektu o nazwie ANCESTRAL ARCHEOLOGY. Występowała w narodowych galeriach w Amsterdamie czy Pradze, berlińskich klubach takich jak ://about blank, Suicide Circus czy Tresor oraz w industrialnych przestrzeniach, silosach i starych fabrykach. Nina mieszka obecnie w Berlinie i występuje pod pseudonimami Nina Pixel jak również BLACK ACID.

A name cannot just define you. A name is a written reflection of your most authentic self. Coming from Latin “woman of the Sabine people” - Sabinē is an honest, wise fighter, always having a straight objective in her head and not only trying but making it work. Being a key figure of electronic music in Uzbekistan, developing Sublimation event series as a co-founder, producing, promoting, working as an art director and even helping to organize a first Boiler Room video in her home country is already a lot on her plate, yet still she manages to harmonize her work life while being a mother of two wonderful boys. At the moment, Sabinē is based in Riga, serving as a resident DJ and a team member at the One One club. The word that could describe her connection with music and listeners is freedom. Not only Sabinē dives into the sounds to express her inner world, yet takes the audience on this journey together, breaking all the walls around: “There is no place for religion, politics, nationality. We are all united in music”. Stihia Festival (in the middle of the Died Aral Sea dessert) and Solar Institute X Boiler Room are the most memorable and unique events she has performed at. However, the list does not end there as Sabinē also presented her set at the renowned Berlin HÖR and many different venues around Eurasia alongside Nina Kraviz, Dr. Rubinstein, Dasha Rush, Hector Oaks, Perc, Regal, Tommy Four Seven. Let’s immerse into: “a variety of evocative techno sounds ranging from industrial and acid thumping with the spirit of resistance”.

Synthek is a Berlin based Dj and producer, owner of Natch Records and STK imprint. Always seeking for new influences, over the past years the style of his sets and productions faced a constant evolution, focusing on deep rhythmics and powerful, introspective vibes. Following few successful eps on Natch Records, he released the debut album Unwise, in collaboration with the label partner AudioLouis. Unwise, seen as their last co-produced effort, got consecutively remixed by Polar Inertia, Antigone and Varg among others. Synthek started curating the booking of New Faces Wednesdays at Tresor Berlin since 2014, becoming a respected presence behind the decks of the legendary venue, especially for closing sets. The idea of creating STK, a self titled imprint – home of his own productions only – gives him the freedom to experiment new approaches to music production and reshape his signature sound. The initial wave of 3 Eps ‘VERSE’, launched in July 2015, brought him to look slightly away from the dancefloor, and finally orienting towards mind-twisting and psychedelic compositions. Beside STK,since his last appearance on Attic Music, for D.A.N.C.E 2, he released new material, like MRI Ep on the Russian label Wunderblock, a remix alongside Svreca on spanish Redpoint Alert, and a contribute for a compilation on OVUNQVE. In the summer 2017, he brought up his biggest effort and second album (but first solo) “Transitions Of Life”, released on Natch Elements – an introspective extension of Natch Records – giving to the audience a real showcase of himself in any shades and details, followed by an incredible ep on Attic Music, to close his very productive and intense year. He joined the Berlin Agency OECUS in the beginning fo the year 2018.

Exilles is a project born from the alchemy of two minds, united by a common desire to undermine, compose and recompose deep techno sounds with a mystical and enigmatic imagery. They strictly perform live, orchestrating ancestral ceremonies with analog machines and modular synthesizers, whose dark and hypnotic sounds chase the persistent in a synesthetic atmosphere.

A millennial stronghold, where space and time seem to crystallize. Exilles invites you to enter the wide entrance, built with thundorous, corrosive kick and neurotic sounds. Proceed to enter a maze of tunnels, stairs, niches that emerge from the hypnotic sounds from the floor and clinging on to it, little by little, airy and seductive melodies, inviting you to go even deeper.
And then that telluric rhythms became more tight and you find yourself trapped, breathless, paralyzed: a crypt, a man. The face covered with a mask. The sound waves become ink and pervade the body, helpless, wrapped in a dream synth tangle. The assertive kick back lashing his shots, with the ritual ending. The crossing to escape has finally opened.

This is the imagination of Exilles, which with its techno built around the polarity of light and darkness, black and white, continuously keeps us poised between  opposites, between consciousness and raving.

Alexander has followed his techno journey as a DJ, producer, label owner of Adaptogen and live artist under the Pacific Voltage Club alias. The exploration of techno structures has seen him experiment with new formats, technologies and applying new ideas over the last 2 decades and recently Tresor in Berlin and Brisbane at the Unison, where this recording was taken.

Having always pushed and challenged what is possible, Alexander extends this through studio based concepts and ​live ​performances​. Constantly looking for connections, that communicate the inexpressible. ​Alexander sees techno and broader electronic music​ as an incredibly flexible and expressive language that transcends. Whether engaged in it alone or with others he hunts for that spot t​hat finds the groove, t​hat aligns your moment.

With countless hours exploring in the studio or the improvised nature of his live performance space, his output has been featured on labels such as IF_? Records, Cerebelo Records, Concepto Hipnotico an his own imprint Adaptogen Audio. Wether producing or performing live; Alexander's sound and presence has a unique tonality and quality that captivates people and makes people move and elevate.

After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the city rapidly became more connected and culturally diverse than ever. For such a small space the city of Berlin holds enormous musical creativity evolving from all 4 corners of the European landscape.
